I just had to make a post about this because while it may seem a small detail, the improved jumping and - especially sliding - animations really do a lot for immersion in the game.  Most games which allow you to move vertically along surfaces just have you walk off cliffs and drop downward with no kind of animation to indicate you're sliding, and while this is functional once you actually see your character sliding down the side of a hill you realize how unfulfilling the lack of a graphic for this really is.  So kudos to whomever it was that decided this was important enough to include in the game.

Sliding is fantastic. Its juts that small edge i wish elder scrolls has, i honestly wish elder scrolls also had free running if you put points into it. Elder scrolls and RPGs needed this.

As I am playing a Rogue, I would like to try sliding a bit more with either Guard or a Barrier to help prevent damage. Maybe there is a talent to gift this for Rogues, too; just have not found it yet.

Jumping is a problem for me, as I had to remap it from the Spacebar; that is where my muscle memory wants Pause. So while on the K&M, I require both hands to Jump and Move Forward; does not leave a lot of room for other directional movement, if needed.

There are actually some platforming elements in some of the areas.

I thought it was awesome the first time I came across a place where you're actually intended to make precision jumps (I can't even remember what it was, but I know it was there). Most of the time it's just bunny-hopping and trying to see how far you can get before you go out of bounds, but having to platform was a lot of fun.
