After playin DA for a while I found a tactic that works most of the time

1 I charge my warrior into the midst of the fray
2. The warrior uses the taunt talent
3. My mage casts Force field on the warrior (makes him immune to all types of damage and effects, but unable to attack or move)
4. My mage cast a damaging aoe spell around the fighter

The Taunt is usually strong enough to keep the monsters at my fighter even if my mage is bombarding the area with damaging spells. They will try to run away from the AOE area, but they run back in after a little while.

The force field lasts for 20 sec and has a 30 sec recharge time so u only need to keep him alive for the 10 sec while he is unprotected by the force field. Then u cast taunt again and apply a new force field on him

The tactic is perfect for:
1- close range mobs
2- close range boss mobs
3- combat in close area environments
4- when u need to keep a large mob or boss occupied while taking out the ranged support mobs with the other characters

The tactic is not working well with the following conditions
1 - the monsters r mostly ranged and or spellcasters in a large open area (u will have to lure them into a small space to make it work)
2- the monsters can dispell magic effects (like templars)

Yep, that does work pretty well.

It's a bit cheesy a tactic, but it does work wonders and I'd be a big fat liar if I said I never used force field that way.

I wish they'd fix force field so that enemies drop aggro on something that has force field on it. Being able to use force field defensively so that somebody doesn't die is fine....having that same person be able to tank 6+ mobs for 20 seconds without taking damage is a bit silly.
