And frankly, if we have to end up paying for decent (non-shaved) hairstyles I'm going to be annoyed.  Especially since we can't mod in decent hairstyles (like we did for DA and DA2).

Yeah, what I am missing are some proper long hairs, not these monk sort of bold heads or Rick Ashley sort of hairs or some hipster-skrilex hairstyles... it´s just so terrible.

The sad thing is their excuse for not making detailed hair was "our guys have too much pride in their work to release something that clips" yet...the game is packed full of clipping. From the gorilla animations clipping with females to armor clipping...it's amusing. And with there being only like 4 different schematics in the game it can't be that they had to account for a ton of different armor types XD.

My take on the comically absurd situation that is "HAIR" in DA:I

 

 

Herald of Andraste:  "I am...... Sir Floaty Beard!  Ignore the 'mark' people....  what's truly important is my AMAZING FLOATING BEARD OF AWESOMENESS!!  I'm here to save you peons from the RIFT!"

 

Peasant 1:  "Wow..!  His beard really is floating!"

 

Peasant 2:  "Hey if anybody can save us from a hole in the sky, it's the guy with a magical floating beard!"

 

Cullen:  "He's got a point, that beard is pretty awesome."

 

Cassandra:  "It is divine providence!"

 

Varric: "This is going to make one hell of a story..."

The character creator is amazing. The hair is the worst I've ever seen in a video game. Baffling. It's too bad they can't get some help from The Sims people, who also work for EA. The Sims has a fairly decent hair game that has more to offer than 13 shaved hairstyles.

Has there been any official comment on why the hair is so awful? It can't be for reasons of clipping, but these hairstyles, the like 5 non shaved ones, still clip horribly through ears and faces.
