I'm not sure how anyone expected it NOT to be OP.
It's freaking AW 2.0.

I was only 46 seconds in when I saw him get hit the first time. Really, being overdramatic about it doesn't help your case much, and he's not even soloing it. When I start seeing these "Xx class is OP" with a video, I expect to see them soloing the content, and when someone says "without being hit, I expect that that's what they mean. Since by 1:46, he's already down to about 75% of his HP, and the guard isn't off the dragon yet, I'm thinking "This is not the OP you are looking for"...
He could easily have been soloing it, and for all intents and purposes that's what he does once his companions are dead.
The only thing he's doing is spamming spirit blade and occasionally using fade step to close the distance. He can keep this up forever without ever getting in danger. Two spells allow him to facetank a dragon that's higher level than him.
Of course, if he really wanted he could have sped it up a bit by using Chaotic Focus to spend his ever-growing barrier to power his spells. That way you can get fire mines doing up to 10.000% damage.

I called this weeks ago after looking at the KE tree. Lmao.

But he gets hit a lot in that video, and loses allies. The fight with that dragon is challenging mostly because you have to throw down dispells and **** for his lightning powers. I believe I did that fight at level 14 myself.
Edit: Watching further in...did you watch this video at all? He barely wins, and has to use the Knight Enchanter focus power in it.

As crazy as KE is, I think Tempest/Champion can be potentially as broken/powerful. Has anyone gotten high enough to test:
Tempest: Does Unquenchable Flames and Quickblade from Subterfuge stack? If this works you can potentially have a constant 0 cooldowns and 0 stamina costs and constant knockbacks....frankly insane.
Champion: Does Siege-Breaker and Flow of Battle from 2H stack? Is there an internal-cooldown? If this works, nearly 65% or more up-time on literal immortality, and a topped off guard + multiple survival cooldowns for the few seconds its not up.
If not..well yeah they kinda went overboard with allowing KE stuff to stack but didn't let Warrior/Rogue stuff stack. Silly really.

You do realize this is literally only because this particular dragon has a weakness to spirit damage which is boosting his Spirit Blade damage, thus boosting his barrier generation right? If this were anything but a lightning dragon he'd get plastered.
KE is powerful, but the drama in this thread is beyond the pale and driven by sheer ignorance.

Really dont understand the balancing issue.... personally I see no reason to balance a single player game.
In ME2 and ME3, Vanguard rips through everything like tissue paper on the highest difficulty without breaking a sweat. In TES, your character always rips through everything like tissue paper if you wanted them to. The Bioshock series, again your character rips through everything like tissue paper on the highest difficulty without breaking a sweat.

Mages even without specialization are beastly in DA:I..and I can't say I'm bothered by that. Its one of the only RPG's of its class thats really made magic seem viable as compared to just a pretty particle effect system that requires beefy dudes with heavy swords in front of it for it to be useful at all. My first world state is my primary Warden world state which is derived from Ye Aulde Cousland sword and boardery, but I do have another play through planned for outright magery.
And Knight Enchanter sounds interesting. Though I'm tempted towards Rift Mage as well.

I think Bioware should nerf all the classes and make them all do damage capped at 1.

Came here after looking at KE tree, because I knew right when I saw the barrier ability what would happen. I can't believe this made it to a finished product. I wondered why everyone was going KE, now I know. It's sad. I too thought it could be cool, but if it's easy mode, I guess I'll do another spec.

You want to play a KE and not be invincible?
1. Don't spec Fade Shield, Clean Burn and/or Chaotic Focus.
2. Problem solved.
Seriously, it's a damned single-player game. So the KE is the new solo class when properly optimized - no one is forcing you to use the 2-3 passives that make them god-tier.

I'm still confused, so because one person found out a way to make the class over-powered, it means nobody else can enjoy being a KE even if you never play that way?

Pretty much everyone on the combat forums are saying KE is pretty much a god mode spec. I even heard from people playing multiplayer that the multiplayer version of the class is overpowered as well.
