I love the fact that Bioware have used a mixture of accents from around the world to make the Dragon Age games and within that they have set geography and races for accents as a primary. But...

Why is the male human British accent so... bad?

Hawke, Cullen and lots of other characters have a good, strong British accent that conveys emotions, gravitas and menace where required but the British Inquisitor sounds like a tour guide for the Tower of London. No power, strength or emotional range seems to have been injected into the portrayal.

I know it's a minor quibble to a certain extent but when you get to the point that even I can't take him seriously and he's my Inquisitor it makes you wonder what they were going for with the direction on that one.

I quite like the British accent. It suits the character I'm playing. He sounds very calm, soothing almost. I suppose it depends on the type of Inquisitor you want to play.

I adore the british voice, which is also the same british voice for every race. ;)

Yeah, I have to say that I like the British accent. It's not great, but I think it's far better than Hawke's.

The American one is definitely better but the British one sounds a lot more young, which is why I used it for my first character

Seems I'm in the minority here haha.

I liked Hawke maybe because I always chose the sarcastic responses, but his voice seemed to suit the character.

The actor doing the Inquisitor just seems a little too weak/posh for me and sometimes it would be nice to get a British voice that wasn't geographocally linked to the 10 miles around London... It's either Hugh Grant or Ray Winstone most of the time.

Male Hawke was really good as paragon character and Female Hawke was born to be sarcastic and say jokes. What can I say about the British Male Inquisitor? I was aware before the release of the game, but... oh sweet Maker... I love his voice so much!!! He is so cute and warm! :3

The British accent is for a young, smooth and calm Inquisitor. The American accent is for a more gruff and straight-to-business Inquisitor...

Definitely disagree here, the British Male VA is awesome.  One of the best protagonist voice actors in a Bioware game, I find.
