Hello all!

I'm currently doing my 3rd playthrough and I'm doing it as an City Elf DW Warrior. So far I've gotten the keening blade and the starfang longsword. However, I havent gotten very far plot-wise (I have radcliffe and orzimmar to go) and I'm just at level 14. I also have the Harvest Festival Ring as well as the Warden Commander Set.
My question is this; what gear have I left to collect to get the meanest, most hard-assed damage  beast that I so desperately crave? Which armor set is the best if I'm looking for pure damage? What good warrior/rogue rings are there? Amulets?

Help me out guys!

by the end of the game my dual wielding warrior was wearing wade's superior dragon bone plate armor, with the helm of the Honnelith (sp?) which amongst other things gives you +2 or +3 to all your stats. i think my amulet is the warrior's jem that gives +2 strength, can't remember the rings, but i was using the starfang and keening blade for quite some time, with various grandmaster runes. seemed to work out quite well for me as a tank.

I think if you want pure raw damage then one (quite possibly subpar) option is

starfang + rose's thorn

legion of the dead armor set

That'll give you +9 damage, then have Wynne with haste running, Lelianna with song of courage running, and have your pc activate momentum and precise striking. WIth the above I was able to get hits in the 70-90 range consistently and maxed out at around 110.

However, I don't know all the numbers, if you search the forums you can find many posts that explain how to maximize your damage.

Momentum + Haste = Slow attack speed.  These two abilities do stack but there is a maximum % attack speed increase and once you go over it it's almost like it resets to zero.   Really - momentum is all you need.

^ Yes, but afaik, Momentum + Haste + Precise striking stack.

I take it you're going the fullsized route. So take everything you can to increase your stamina. That will be the Helm of Honleath, and either Warden Commanders, Or Evons + Wades Dragonscale. I'm not sure, I don't have Wardens Keep.

Also, don't use one fullsize with a dagger. That's a different build that does higher DPS but only single target, by using sustainables.

Secondly, only activate Momentum + Precise Striking after expending fatigue on your abilities.

WIth a longsword + dagger, (momentum + haste + precise striking) is faster than with just momentum alone, at least in v1.02. To be honest, with 100% spell resist and wynne backing you up with regeneration + heals, you are basically unstoppable. The only thing I ever got burnt on was the Dragon and her bite attack.

thanks guys, i hadn't been using the precis striking but i'll try it out!

@m14567, I'm not looking to solo so ill prolly not aim for all that resist gear, i'm looking for max dmg output

Yeah it is up to you on the resist stuff. For me, I only really bothered with wynne and lelianna and I never spec-ed wynne to have any dispel magics, so things like paralyze, misdirection hex, crushing prison, curse of mortality will cause trouble.

Damage output .. someone recommended Dex build dagger Zerker, loaded with (elemental) damage runes, and it sounds plausible. I am also lead to believe auto-attack on single target is most common type of attack for most part of the game. Hitting 5 surrounding enemies for X damage on auto each, then Whirwinding them all at once for Y damage to the mountain, is or could be as effective with single target dps overweighting AoE dps, and the other way around.

Yeah, a number of posts talk about how dex-based dual dagger wielding is the way to go for max damage. However, I figured I'd throw my 2 cents in since I just run through with dw warrior.

Yeah, dex based has far superior Single Target DPS. But strength based fullsized has great AoE damage.

I'd say Wardens Armor is the way to go if you want to wear massive armor.

Weapon wise, I'd suggest Starfang & the Vershaile (or however it is called in english).

With Ostagar it'll be Duncan's Sword & the Vershaile.
