I'm hitting up the Midnight madness thing at my local Gamestop tonight to get my CE.
NE Mall in the DFW area...anyone else on these forums going to be there?

Anyone else going to their local midnight release gig?

I'm goin' to mine! Lawrence, KS here. Got an automated call yesterday telling me to show up by 10. The guys working there said it shouldn't be that crowded since there were only, like, 50-60 preorders, so they said I could waltz in at 11:59 and make my purchase. I'm about to splode!

 Its crazy how a videogame can make us all this excited. And God@#$% I am EXCITED. Sadly, my gamestop isnt having a midnight release so I have to wait until tomorrow morning. Worth it though

i have the google voice thing that transcribes voicemails, and this is what I got yesterday. the translation's a little hinkey, so disregard anything that doesn't make sense:

I'm calling from GameStop to let you know Mass Effect 2 will be available for pick up Monday night at midnight. I'm gonna invite you to stop in currently at 10 PM to join in the fun during this time. We'll process your transaction, so that you can get out of the store shortly after midnight. We'll look forward to seeing you on Monday night at 10 PM. If you have any questions, please call gamestop at xxxxx. Thank you. Bye bye.

Ok so thats just for people that will be at a stor with a flood of people.  There will prob only be like five or six at mine.  I'll just show up at midnight.

the call i got yesterday was the first "your crap will be here on such and such date" i've ever gotten, actually! *so* random...and i've preordered a bunch of times there before. there's no method to their madness.

I love how gamestop has a vally girl/cheerleader sounding girl make the call. Is that saposed to make us feel cool like we are not geeks and girls like us? Just seems strange to me.
