I am so envious. St. Louis here. I'm picking up mine after I get off work tomorrow. The gamestop in Chesterfield is doing this midnight thing, but it has been a long long time since I was able to party at night and go to work the next day and unfortunately I have to be at work.



I remember when ME came out it was Thanksgiving break. This one no break. oh well. I will be thinking of all you lucky players.

Going to mine in overly heated Florida. My reminder didn't say anything about being there at 10pm. I think I'm one of only 3 or 4 CE at my store. I know they only had 1 DA:O CE (much to my dismay....stupid limited CE...... selling out 3 months in advance.....). I'll be showing up at a minute till and going straight home to play till midnight tomorrow probably.

I'm going to game crazy for the midnight release. I hate my local gamestop. The alpha nerds are a huge put off, especially since 90% of the time they are wrong. Getting CE, I'm in Santa Clarita, Ca.

I've never been to one before so if we plan on going to the midnight party then can we just show up at midnight and get our copies? do we have to wait in lines outside or something?

Can't wait for midnight. Apparently I'm one of four poeple that got the Collectors Edition. Here's hoping I don't get mugged on the way back to my car tonight.

Just called my store, and they said they were closing at 9, and not opening till 11, since usually only about 1/3rd of the pre-orders do the midnight thing, so he guessed about 30 people total for both MAG and ME2. Sounds like I'm getting there at 11:30 or so.

salina! that's where my grandma grew up. there's a really good fried chicken place too by the highway(?)

I'm in Topeka but I dont have a ride so I will be picking it up tomorrow. Lol, all three of us from Kansas have Wrex as our avatars.

You can just show up at 12.  They do that so if you have like 50 people picking up the game they can ring you all out and you can just take your game and go at midnight.  But most gamestops don't get that many people it all depends on where you are going to pick up the game.

I havent called, but Im assuming the same thing where I live (Stockton, CA).  So I probably won't leave til close to midnight.

Naturally I understand the excitment of wanting to play a video game asap and I'm not jealous or in evny. I am not understanding why people wait untill 12:00 outside game stop. My logic is like this, it starts at 12:00, there is however a long line of people

I know this because before..I used to stand outside for midnight release. By the time you get the game let's say it's 12: 15 or even 12:45, then you go home..say 10 minutes mim/max..now to load the game. Let's say that takes about 15 minutes with even the most advanced systems..

Then it's 1: 15 or 1:20, by the time you actually put in the code, started it and going through early stages of the game. By the time you get really into the game it's going to be time to sleep, unless you plan to stay up all night. If case was you stay up all night


Then you would be very tired playing it through the day and sooner or later would have to sleep, most likely late afternoon that day or....

You could get it the next day around 1:00 or 3:00 pm, load it and do all that stuff..have about nine hours or ten to play before laying down in bed...maybe I over think this

Actually, most of the Gamestops are opening at 10 or 11 so that they can preprocess everyone, so you can be OUT of the store at 12 or 12:10. Since I don't usually go to bed until 3 or 4 in the morning anyway, it doesn't really bother me. I plan on sleeping from 7-11 or so, heading there about 11:45, and then playing until I either fall asleep or have to go to work at 11.
