You're not listening. I asked you if you felt any SYMPATHY. That means for OTHER PEOPLE. It's not about you, it's about THEIR situation. You might not have cared, but it's clear that they do, and that they're upset about it. And it's not hard to see why. Look, it's like this:

Mary likes blueberry pie. Larry doesn't like that particular pie type. He isn't jealous of Mary, since he doesn't like that pie anyway. Moe, on the other hand, is running a bit late and misses the pie bus. He was not able to buy a blueberry pie, his favorite pie. Moe is a bit sad because of this. Suddenly, Larry comes up to his and smacks him on the head, yelling "LOL, DON'T BE JEALOUS, BLUEBERRY PIE SUCKS ANYWAY!"

It doesn't really matter if the armor will be obsolete or anything, it's a matter of principle. They paid at least ten bucks for it, which means that it's worth that much to them.

People keep saying the Collectors Armor and Rifle is free DLC, it is NOT free. You pay for it when you pay of the CE. CE buyers have a right to be pissed.

Probably because I want all the dlc and the preorder bonuses should be available to everyone

Though it certainly isn't fair, I am certain that everyday at least a few people receive free fries/drinks/etc due to the number of orders I have gotten extra or not had everything I paid for.  However, unlike in the food example, there is not a person who was likely shorted on the other end.  Also, it is truly more akin to the employees giving you the extra, as MS made the error themselves.

Yes, the difference is that this costs a wee bit more than a McDonald's meal, plus it's a kind of special fries that was supposed to be exclusive to the first guy. He paid extra for the exclusive fries. Now they're not exclusive anymore. 

At least you admit that it isn't fair. I know, no reason to cry over spilled milk, right? I just think it's really uncool, and I understand the anger some of these people feel. It's nothing to throw yourself off a cliff for, but it's still unfair.

Yeah the CE stuff is a big issue I understand that, sure some of the $10 goes to packaging, concept art etc but yeah those who pre-ordered the CE paid extra for content that was mistakenly given out for free. So yeah that's the only part I'm ill about, I would have gotten the CE regardless but it stings a bit that the bonus content made the CE even sweeter, exclusive even.

Anyways, I'm not too upset about this. It would've been nice to get the PC-"exclusive" Sniper Rifle and the Normandy Memorial DLC, but to be honest I couldn't care less about the Celector's equipment or the Inferno armor and I simply don't know enough about the Dr. Pepper items to have much of an opinion on it (I'm sure it's probably crap anyway). As long as I don't go to GameStop tonight to pick up my pre-order and find that they've run out of codes for the Terminus gear, I'll be happy.

If that's the case though, I'll be back here in 10 hours raising hell about it.

Anyway, it isn't about "e-peen", it's about getting what you paid for. Would you really like it if you had to pay for something someone else got for free? Now, that doesn't sound fair, does it?

Bioware should have never had all this pre-order crap in the first place. If they were going to, they should have had one pre-order bonus for every store. Taking away content from the game just to get pre-orders is a slimey move.

Bioware should just release all this content for free, and compensate those who bought the collector's edition/pre-ordered the game with some extra content.

Also, by the way, the making of the game, comic, and art-book will be leaked on the internet (and some of it already has). That is why I don't buy collector's editions in the first place.

$10.00 for you maybe, but if you live in the UK, we pay the equivilent of $30.00 - $40.00 depending on where you pre-ordered it from.

Read about this before I took off to class this morning. I'm a PC user, so I guess it doesn't affect me much. I did buy the CE, so it kinda sucks that some people got the CE goodies for free, but we also get a few other things with the CE, so I'm not too worried.



Like people have said, most pre order stuff tends to be replaced...but who knows, the Blood Dragon Armor in DA:O could be used for a very long time...however most of the pre order stuff got replaced very fast.



I've been tempted to try and get the Gamestop items, but when it comes down to it, they probably won't matter too much...but that black hole gun looks pretty sweet

I dont mind pre-order bonuses, I do think as you said their should be a standard for the content and it should all be gained through pre-order regardless source/retailer. And yeah if the content works(no validation etc) then MS and Bioware/EA needs to have a pow wow and set up a way for "all" the content to be distributed via DLC particularly with those that got the CE. Though nobody really made a huge deal about the Cerberus Card that was originally exclusive to the CE, so dont hold your breath on the compensation

I just wish they would put up the Gamestop DLC for buy. I despise Gamestop and it pisses me off I have to preorder from them.
