Sorry but i have to comment about the consoleliers baggin on pc gamers because they think we have tiny little screens and such, Dudes its 2010 ive been gaming on all three systems on my 52 inch samsung with 7.1 onkyo surround and i got a baddass recliner that massages and has built in heater, the days of pcs mainly on small screens are over, i have all three gaming systems ps3 mainly for blurays xbox360 so i can game with my brother back in the states, and my computer for well games like this, everybody has thier preference and i truly enjoy mass2 on my 52incher at 1920x1080p with 8xsupersample aa and 16x ansio- beautifull game i think instead of starting these flame wars we should all just talk about how awesome this game is, come tommorrow i think all the lucky folks living in america will fill these forums with great topics, Game on dudes enjoy what ever system you prefer this game will rock illregardless

true true, i hook my laptop up to my hdtv wenever i wanna watch movies on there, only probably is i dont have a wireless keyboard to go with my mouse yet to game in front of the TV...and ive got a pretty decent asus laptop, i just like the controller better but to each his own. probably woulda pirated it on pc but my xbox has my save files from me1 i wanna import

Back on topic.It seems to me that Mircosoft is messing up like people said in previous threads/replies and I agree with Brenn.Bioware is great enough to stand alone in my opinion.

no. that would be even more unfair to those who preordered and got the CE. maybe theyll put the other stuff out but not the collector armor and gun or the terminus/blackstorm

edit: the normandy level IS coming out though, i know that

I'm upset that  many of us had to pay to get that stuff and then Microsoft goofs and puts everything up for free.

We were told these were exclusive bonuses and the only way to get them was to reserve that game at participating retailers.

I preorded at two different stores, I bought Dragon Age for the Blood Dragon armor. When you add it all up, I've spent close to $200 on Mass Effect 2 and there are things I'm still missing. If I had known I could have gotten The Incisor Rifle from  the Digital Deluxe PC version, and the reward from Mass Effect Galaxy just for staying up at three o'clock in the morning, I would have been at my computer instead of playing the original Mass Effect.

It's not right.

I know it's not entirely Bioware's fault, but they should do something to to make it up to us those of us who have actually paid for the game.

You make it sound like ppl who have payed for all that stuff didn't get a chance to DL the stuff b/c they did. It was dumb luck for those who got it, and no one is to blame except for the guy who messed up at M$, who is probably  looking for a new job as of now.

Ah sorry to bioware  for being angry  earlier bout the free dlc as I thought it was intentional but have since learned that it's just a mistake made by microsoft <_<

To everyone saying "Oh I spend 200+ dollars for ME2! This is so unfair!!!", come on, don't be ridiculous.



The Collectors Edition is something I would have liked to have, but passed on because a) My local stores were sold out, money and c) the fact that it didn't really offer any exclusive "game" content anyway. Some armor and a weapon that you are going to eventually replace aren't what I call "content". Characters, levels, missions... THOSE are real in-game content. I would have bought it for those.



The draw to the CE was for all the behind the scenes stuff! I would totally love to own an art book for ME2, but it's not worth buying the whole CE for IMO. And hopefully, with ME2 being as good as it is, an art book will eventually be released anyway so that all ME fans can enjoy the awesome artwork.



I just so happened to be up last night doing research (those college degrees don't finish themselves you know) and checked the forums to take my mind off of reading psych. articles. I saw the link to the IGN page and am one of the few that managed to get the DLC for free.



Does it really matter though? I was more then happy to NOT have those few extra items, and if Bioware or Microsoft were to start banning accounts I'd have no problem removing the DLC from my HDD. As it stands, it's just nice to be able to see what they'll look like in game, although I'll more then likely never use them (Not a huge fan of Organic armor, so the Collector's items are pretty "meh" to me).



Let's put it THIS way, if someone offered to give me their art book, bonus CDs and metal tin in exchange for 10 bucks and all of the non-CE DLC I got from M$ for free, I'd do it in a heartbeat. The CE was about WAY more then some armor and a rifle, it's a whole behind-the-scene's look at the making of one of the best games of all time!



When you to tell me that my downloading some DLC for free ruins your ENTIRE CE experience I die a little on the inside. If all the CE is to you is a rifle and some armor, then you aren't worthy of the CE in the first place.

I'm a CE buyer and I'm not pissed. The thing is, most of your money is going to pay for the other things in the CE. Physical items cost a lot more. Pennies of what you paid is going to those items. And if you pre-ordered for only those items, that's ultimately your fault for paying that much extra for something just in-game.

You're getting the tin, the artbook, the behind the scenes DVD, and the comic too.

We dont even know if the DLC will work, Dragon age used codes connected to EA servers which then redirected you to the download off of the Xbox servers, you may still have to input the code to use the content in game and as people downloaded it for free through ms's mess up dont have codes we still may not be able to use them! Just a thought for ya.

On a side note this still isnt as big a mess up as Sony, putting up a full game for free instead of a game demo and putting up a full movie for free that had just hit the cinemas aha.

No. The armor won't be obsolete in a matter of hours. Reviews claim there is very, very few pieces of equipment in the game that you could get away with only 2-3 pieces of armor and such in the end. It's all about upgrades now. The Terminus armor could very well last until you beat the game.

even if it does, the n7 armor does just fine in comparison. but ive heard from the devs that the armors will be obsolete. and there arent very FEW sets of armor, bioware has said theres plenty

You probably misunderstood that they were talking about upgrades for those few pieces of armor (pre-order/CE and default).

So wait, you are no longer getting the Armor & Weapon in your CE? How is it no longer "true" that those are a part of it?

If you complaint is simply that they aren't "exclusive" anymore, then seriously, cry some more. YOU are still one of the select and "elite" few who managed to get a CE copy of ME2. YOU have the original and intended CE DLC. I on the other hand, simply have the SE and a few goodies M$ let leak for free. YOU can say that you're an owner of the CE. I cannot. You've lost NOTHING. And I've gained something marginal. My owning a random fluke does not stop you from still having the overly awesome CE.

From this point forward, having the CE Armor & Rifle means one of two things. You either own the awesome CE, or were part of a random event. Let me safely assure you that the level of prestige between those two groups will never be equal. You still have an "Exclusive" item, as my DLC will never be seen as legit like yours.
