Exactly what Mummolus has said. Quit wineing. Ok it sucks you missed I did too, but you know what it happens, its the luck of the draw, same as the people who got legit copies of the game early, tech if you got the game in the mail today even its still streetdate broken but its legit. I say let them keep it, I hope it will come out in the future but if it does not then so be it. Its the luck of the draw, its life, its not fair, but its what we have.

I don't see why anybody is getting super upset about this. Nobody is hurt by some folks DLing free stuff that everybody should get anyway. And if you purchased the CE just for the armor and weapon and it cost you THAT much money (twice as much as SE in UK?)....well pppptt on you. Your an idiot and I feel no sympathy for you. If you spent an extra 60 bucks for a freakin skin with a stat boost....well I wish I had money to throw around like that. Company exclusive items is a cheap bull**** tactic and I'm glad the players actually could get one up on the bastard corporations.

Plenty of people have redeemed their codes already because of stores breaking street dates and so forth. There are legitimate downloads of the content mixed with the illegitimate, and as I said the precedent in these situations is to just move on rather than risk depriving others of the content they paid for in some sort of blanket 'reset'.

No, they won't - the erroneous DLC is indistinguishable from legitimately purchased DLC, and when this sort of thing has happened in the past there have never been 'disabling fixes' released afterward. Witness the Gears of War 2 Golden Lancer - it was never 'disabled' for those who shouldn't have had it (despite one site reporting that it would be).

Priestly confirmed that people who got the game early weren't getting the DLC until the game's official launch, so I don't see how they could differentiate the legal and illegal copies when only illegal copies are sent.

If you read earlier posts in this thread it was on US XBL, yes, but you could apparently still queue it to be downloaded anywhere. Some of my friends here in Sweden managed to download it all, including my brother.

This is true of items downloaded from the EA servers, but in this case the items are downloaded from Xbox Live and the only verification is that they were downloaded onto that console and hard drive.

He confirmed that that was how the Cerberus Network DLC functioned, and as I pointed out a while back, Zaeed and the Hammerhead were not up for download last night. The pre-order items on the other hand are done differently and it's been confirmed that they work in-game.

You no who this screws over? the fans, I'm from the uk and i pre-orderd the CE version but you cant get any promos with the CE version in the uk, i would love the normandy crash site dlc anD the termus gear and anything available for mass effect 2 but that looks like it isn't going to happen...

Why do this bioware????? are we going to be able to get this dlc later?? i would gladly pay for it, this as really upset me with this BS....

remember when u used to get NO bonuses for preordering? GASP, BARBARIC!

you payed the same price for the game as everyone else, unless you got the CE. where you got the hard cover art book, the comic, and the DVD. if you got it ONLY for the collector armor and rifle, then you got ripped off by paying ten extra bucks for an obsolete suit of armor and a decent gun.

And the people incredibly upset over this are people who went out of their way to get everything. I don't want EA making money through bull**** like launch DLC and pre-order fluff. They should publish more great games like this instead. I don't have a CE, I'm getting Inferno Armor from my retailer; and I simply just don't give a **** that some people got everything. Double morals is a bliss.

On the contrary, I pre-ordered from Gamestop. I just don't see why everybody's upset - nobody's lost anything because of this. Be happy for those who managed to get the stuff, as they're essentially giving the middle finger to such obnoxious marketing practices.

I've been saying for some time now that retailer-specific DLC and promo items are garbage - saying it since before Dragon Age inundated us with such things, in fact.

Someone that's totally not me queued this stuff from xbox.com marketplace in the wee hours of the morning. This person (totally not me, btw) is now DLing the stuff that was offered, despite being able to get most of it (preordered CE from gamecrazy) tomorrow. Thanks, Microsoft.
