No, I'm not jealous that I didn't get to "stick it to the man". I'm angry because random people who couldn't give a damn about Bioware decided it was nice to take everything for free.

On the contrary, I pre-ordered from Gamestop. I just don't see why everybody's upset - nobody's lost anything because of this. Be happy for those who managed to get the stuff, as they're essentially giving the middle finger to such obnoxious marketing practices.
I've been saying for some time now that retailer-specific DLC and promo items are garbage - saying it since before Dragon Age inundated us with such things, in fact.

Here's someone with some sense. I DLed the Terminus Armor as a plan B. I heard GS was running out of pre-order codes due to their ****ty employees selling them on ebay or some such.  Now when I go to gamestop tonight and they sell me some crap about how they don't have enough codes, instead of stabbing somebody I can just go home and have it on my xbox.

Most of us don't care that a few lucky XBL users got this content for free, but we do care that this stunt singlehandedly undermines the whole purpose of having exclusive preorder and CE content. We know from previous experience that Microsoft won't care enough to do anything about it, so the damage is done, but that's no reason to just roll over and play dead.

You know, I love this forum, but people get into a huff quite easily here. Relax, this isn't a huge problem and it's already 'fixed'. People who got it at this point weren't going to get those items anyway, and the whole concept of pre-order bonuses (especially from a specific store) is terrible.

Be that as it may, I paid for something that lots of people got for free. And that is enough to get really upset over. Besides the more we complain the more of a chance we'll get something from it. Worked for Canada in the Olympics.

Yeah man, the economy here in the states is superb, there are no homeless, nor unemployed, employers hire you regardless of disabilities, most jobs pay 6.50-7.00 per hour which times 40 hours per week avg times 4 weeks in a month = around 950 or so after taxes, then avg rent in my area is 450 for a studio apt in gangbanger wannabe central, and then avg power bill of 70 plus 30 for water, then gas money, food, insurance and a car payment if you dont have one paid off, so lets see 950 per month after taxes minus roughly 850 at the least for the above, yeah we have soooooo much money to spare dude. You can move here if you want, you can climb a fence, or float here or come through the Canadian border, our security wont mind, those taxes I mentioned earlier pay for services and welfare for those who arent even citizens or that deal drugs and gangbang yet still collect welfare checks. Yeah US is the most economically secure country in the world.

All the pre-order codes will do (for xbox360) is give you access to the free download. Its not going to verify anything after its downloaded. When you type the code you get the free download its as simple as that. What happened last night was that Microsoft forgot to restrict the downloads for the pre-order codes only.

Odd, because I don't get my preorder items or Dragon Age armor if I'm not signed on to the EA servers when I play DA:O.

no because the collector editions are almost already sold out anyway. and if theres supply of them there will still be demand...the dragon age armor, everyone who wanted it in mass effect 2 has pretty much already bought the game. the sniper rifle, no one even really knows what that was for?
