NO ONE, payed extra for any of that DLC, it was all free. if you got the CE, then you paid ten extra dollars, but you didnt pay for JUST the armor and gun, you paid for all the extra stuff. collectors editions havent always come with DLC

It doesn't affect me at all though, since I play on the PC.

And screwing the developer and publisher, as well as the retail outlet offering that particular promotion.

Microsoft screwed up pretty bad.

I didn't get any of the content, mostly because I don't have my Xbox ATM, and the only thing I really had any interest in getting (that I don't already have) is the sniper rifle. No biggie.

well you still get the armor and gun no matter what. the art book is gonna be scanned and uploaded to the internet, the behind the scenes dvd's gonna be on youtube, so then everyone will have both of those for free online, will you whine **** and moan when that happens? the only really exclusive thing you got was a ten dollar metal box...

Microsoft screwed up pretty bad.

Hopefully this incident helps convince Bioware/EA to drop the ******-poor retailer-specific content marketing practice. Even if everything had worked perfectly there would be a dozen threads complaining that they didn't get the armor they should have because their retailer screwed up, only to be overwhelmed by dozens of other threads complaining that they got Inferno armor but really wanted Terminus, etcetera.

This whole thing is hilarious and reveals just how petty and immature many of the posters on this forum are.



With the exception of the CE armour, everything available today falls into the category of free promotional gimmicks, designed to encourage pre-orders (which actually also saves you money) or sell soft drinks.



Due to a stupid Microsoft error, a tiny percentage of people were lucky enough to (completely legally) get some bonus content of essentially zero value before the loophole was closed.



The reaction:



A whole bunch of whining as people with too much time on their hands throw all their toys out of the pram. Absolutely pathetic. Nobody (but nobody) is any worse off than they were this time yesterday. A few people got lucky, and the reaction of some is jealousy, pure and simple.



Get a life.

Which doesn't hurt anybody. You'll still be able to show off your relatively exclusive items, because it's a single player game and the odds of your friends being among the few thousand who got the items free are low.

Yes, but that doesn't stop you from comparing it to making illegal copies of the art book and posting videos on youtube of exclusive content (although it'll most likely be removed by EA / Bioware)

Are you mildly retarded or something? The armor and the gun was PART OF THE DEAL. These people paid money to have that. Now someone else gets it for free. I'd be pretty pissed too. 

Think of it like this: You buy a hamburger for 10 dollars. Then some other dude comes along and just snags a hamburger, and everybody just lets him. Now you both have a hamburger, but you have 10 dollars less. It's really that simple.

I'm sorry.  What exactly was 'THE POINT' that I ruined?

My point is that people should quit ****ing about something that did them no harm and cost them nothing but which a few other people who they will probably never meet benefited from.

And I have nothing whatsoever against pre-order content.  I pre-ordered the game, I'll get some mostly useless piece of armour, plus the Blood Armor for pre-ordering DA:O...

Plus all the other stuff I legally downloaded directly from Microsoft this morning.
