And I don't think I've been unreasonable. Yes, you're very lucky to have got stuff for free, but do you really have to gloat about it to the people who paid for so-called "exclusive content"? Is it really so hard to understand why they would be a little upset? Do you have no sympathy at all?

And nobody "did better" than anyone. You got lucky, that's all. See, that's what I'm talking about regarding gloating.

so if it doesnt effect you why are you whining? what world do you live in where complaining and arguing about something that "Doesnt effect you" isnt obnoxious?

I agree I wouldn't mind if all stores had the same preoder bonus, but it would feel like trying to jump through hoops just to "collect" them all.

I grabbed pretty much everything, It was free and i couldn't get the stuff now, all the preorders for the collectors edition are gone and if I could have i would. But I'll get the collectors edition anyway and be happy about the bonus sniper that otherwise would be impossible. I would have preordered from gamestop but i jumped on the ME2 bandwagon too late.

it holds plenty merit for both this AND the haiti situation. theres no REASON they got hit with an earth quake. sh*t happens. i wasnt gloating before, but i was pretty happy about it. i had a ****ty week earlier and life wasnt fair for me, i got a bit of good karma so suddenly im a gloating ****

then you got ripped off. i put down the full 60 dollars plus tax for the game and thats all ive had to pay. whenever i put down five dollars i have to pay roughly sixty dollars if i didnt finish paying it off because five dollars is roughly the tax. so your EB games clearly isnt doing business right.

Well, this whole ordeal will surely make me think twice (or thrice) about paying extra for the Bioware's Collectors Editions in the future. Whether there is still "a nice tin case and even a map" or not is utterly irrelevant. Collector's edition DLC content was advertised as exclusive, and, through Bioware's or Bioware partners' fault, had its exclusive status stripped. This is a material change to the deal, and a loss of value (perceived or otherwise).

Damn, I was up at that time finishing up my femshep renegade game. The only thing I would have grabbed was the Inferno armor cause I'm getting the CE from gamestop. It will probably be months before we have access to all the other stuff. I'm still waiting for Bioware to put up all the pre-order items for DA:O. Probably will never happen.

Not true, as I feel that content exclusivity via vendor choice with no capability for consumers to later purchase that content directly is a sad practive.  I also believe that there is no true cause for outrage at the individuals who benefited from Microsoft's error, though I certainly believe those who were entitled (meaning only those who aquired this content by proper channels) have a right to feel saddened by having put forth more effort to obtain these items.  In the end though, all those who obtained these items validly have lost is some of their ability to brag.  In the end, what difference does it really make that a limited but unknown number of people whom you will likely never personally encounter have obtained something you valued enough to already have obtained (and many of those people may have attempted to validly aquire said items, and simply not be able to for various reasons).  From my perspective, the only reason one would truly be upset that those individuals even aquired the items is out of a sense of elitism.

Yet, counter to your claim, I am someone who has validly aquired the Blood Dragon Armor, Terminus Armor, Inferno Armor, and a CE of the game.  Simply because I valued things enough to put forth the effort required to obtain these things through legitimate means does not force me to feel those who put in less effort but aquired them have cheated me.

Ok, and are we sure that the DLC will work? cant they lock out any DLC that was wrongly given? I agree, it seems a bit unfair that people who paid extra for content, are no longer the only ones getting that content. Im suprised we havent heard anything from an official at bioware yet.

No. The armor won't be obsolete in a matter of hours. Reviews claim there is very, very few pieces of equipment in the game that you could get away with only 2-3 pieces of armor and such in the end. It's all about upgrades now. The Terminus armor could very well last until you beat the game.

The way I understand it, those of us that got the DDE for PC have access to the Incisor Rifle, whereas Xbox players weren't given the option of obtaining one. But then this whole thing happened with Xbox Live, and some players managed to get it for the Xbox version.
