Hello, I've been seeing some gameplay of Knight Enchanter where some spirit blades are very pronounced with the hilt and glowing yellow blade visible. Other times, the hilt seems invisible and the blade is very indistinct, almost like the only thing visible is the blade trail.

I'd like to ask if this is a graphical bug or something. My observations have come from both pc and consoles. Thanks!

I'm having the same issue. I've watched the specialization movie and my spirit blade looks NOTHING like what I saw. I have no blade, just the graphic of the slash but not blade like in the video I saw. This is on PC and I've tried the various configurations for spell effects...what gives, is this a bug?

Wow even more issues, I wonder what's the reason for that.

There was a lot of complaints when they first showed Knight-Enchanter that the blade was way too indistinct and didn't look like a blade. So unless any current gameplay shows a indistinct blade, there's no bug they just changed it. The current appearance is distinct.

Test it out for yourself, get to level 11, and Vivienne will be able to get Spirit Blade.

Is it related to your PC's graphical settings? Particle effects need to be turned up to a certain level, perhaps?

This is definitely a bug, the blade appears sometimes and stays for awhile with the proper animation. Sometimes it decides to disappear and all you get is the trail animation. Fast travelling seems to help it sort of reset the animation sometimes, but sometimes you're just sol if it happens to glitch like in a dungeon.

Good it's not just me... I was afraid I was having issues or something

My texture setting is Fade Touched

When I turned it down to Low the blade reappeared. But there's no way I'm playing on low.

Oh my god. So glad this isn't just me. Not really a serious problem, but I've been trying to get the blade to show up for like an hour.

One would have assumed that something as blatant as this would have been flagged up in testing. Did this game actually go through *any* QA at all?

Pretty big bump, but does anyone know if the latest patch fixed this?

Bah. That sucks. Swinging a blur instead of a giant magic sword is so much more soul crushing than it sounds. Guess there's always next patch :/

From my own experience, it seems to occur when you reload a save. The blade will not go back to normal until you travel to a different map.

In addition, while the blade is invisible, it seems that Spirit Blade does not properly apply your staffs elemental damage type.

Rift Mage superiority.

The Baconer is correct.

I've confirmed that upon reloading any save, the blade disappears leaving only the contrail visible. It then comes back upon entering a new territory. So as long as you don't reload after entering a territory, you're good! Ridiculous.

P.S.

Please fix this.

The part I liked about Spirit Blade was the SPIRIT BLADE, so when its gone it kind of blows.
