Is it possible to get the Dalish style armors like seen in the Exalted Plains?

You can buy a tier 3 Dalish armor schematic in 'The Hissing Wastes' zone. However, it's like 8000 gold.

Dumb question probably, but are the Dalish armors elf-only? I'd love to put my mage in the Keeper's outfit from multiplayer.

Also, does anyone have any pictures of the armor by chance?

It's pretty cool looking. I cannot get you a picture, as I didn't purchase it for my Dalish Assassin Inquisitor, but it looks a lot like the Bosmer Armor on the Skyrim Nexus.

However, if you have a Rogue build, I'd argue that it's appearance is the only positive in it's favor. The problem with the armor is that it's three slots are all dedicated to defense, not utility. This means that none of your materials will provide hard stat bonuses to your damage dealing areas, and will direct them to your defense stats instead. It sounds awesome for a tank, but for a hardcore DPS, you'd be better off going with the Sturdy Prowler. I'd much rather have a powerful armor with two utility slots and one defense, rather than a powerful armor with three defense slots. That's just me though.

Anything known about other types and varieties of dalish armor? I'd really like chain-mail tunic like Merrill has, for example

I'm pretty certain that its taking the dalish scout armor from the hissing wastes and crafting it with snowfleur skin as its main material. That removes the rogue only requirement for it, then they changed the color with other materials.

I did that for my Dalish mage too because I liked the look of it alot.

Yes; specifically, you need to be "elf-trained". Note that Sera is not elf-trained despite being an elf.

Is it confirmed that this armor can be worn by mages of made with snoufleur leather? I thought it was also rogue restricted?

snoufleur leather removes class restrictions.

There is an area in Exalted plains as you progress through the area.
Emprise du Lion just has it on the frozen dounut lake above where you spawn in. Basically go around in a circle and collect them for days (Fade touched versions are REALLY nice too)
