I'm just glad I we didn't get the horror show that was DA:O sex scenes. I still have nightmares.
You didn't like the Enya music and fundoshi? For shame.

Still feel like ME3 sex scenes the best. It doesn't have nudity but it convey the passion.I'm just glad I we didn't get the horror show that was DA:O sex scenes. I still have nightmares.
Sex is also not equal to romance...by far the worst romance sex scene is game has to be Blackwalls...and that's before you find out certain details. Shag and leave. He was supposedly written as the main female 'romance'..... ![]()
I agree with OP, but apply it across several of the romances. I'd also rather get a feeling of emotional connection, than a tacky scene with a dear John letter.
I don't understand how people here fail to grasp a fundamental concept and that is this :-
If violence, death, gore, horror and vulgar language are not implied and instead is direct in this game, why is sex alone implied ? When has sex become something that is worse or more taboo than violence, death, gore, horror and vulgar language to deserve its implied status ? Are we living in some primitive religious fundamentalist society or something ?
As I have said before, this is most likely a cultural continent thing. This game is made in North America after all, a continent that is home to prudes, bible belt mentality and sex hypocrisy.
*Disgusted noise*
I understand your point. The Puritan roots of the States has a multitude of people very sexually repressed. But in game design, I feel it has more to do with the quality of the animations serving the story justice.
Killing is a part of the core gameplay. You see it consistently because you're the hero and they're the bad guys. Thus, a lot of effort was put into creating these animations, and these scenes. The sexual encounters, on the other hand, are such a small percentage of the total experience that they can be totally missed or intentionally foregone. And I don't know about you, but when I see awkward animations during something so intimate as lovemaking, it just makes me feel... awkward.
So yes, I prefer the fade-to-black or implied route, because I feel that, short of bringing in a crew of motion capture artists specifically for sex scenes, no Bioware-developed "sex scene" will do the act justice. Granted, the nude part of Sera's romance was fairly realistic and tasteful, but they still conveniently fade to and from black at the much more difficult parts to animate. (Plus, simply seeing Sera tackle her lover and hearing about it afterward on multiple occasions leaves little to the imagine of what actually happened.)
Read poety, saw Cassandra topless. I was satisfied.
Cassandra is digital woman made up of numbers and code and her topless scene was still better than Kristen Stewart's.

What isn't better than Kristen Stewart? ![]()

I would say dog crap, but that seems like an insult to the dog.
I want the sex scene for everyone as well as fade to black for those who choose not to. There is no scene that took place in place of the sex scene in the game. I don't know what the hell you are talking about.
This is in fact the reality. Characters are allocated similar word counts and man hours from cinematic design and so forth.
Given that I feel the conversation has shifted towards a generally disrespectful tone for the last few pages, I'm also closing the thread. If it must be created again, implying that people that would rather other scenes are "prudes/puritans" or whatever is not a good way to go about it.
