Okay so bear with me here...I haven't played on a console since the PS2, before they had internet connectivity, so I have no idea how modern consoles work. 

 

I have both DAO and DA2 on the PC through Origin. My question is: can I run my Origin client on a PS4? I'm trying to decide if I'm going to get Inquisition for the PS4 as a digital download or a physical copy.

No. You need a PS3 to play the previous entries, and need to buy them again in PS3 format. You can import your world from PC to PS4, however, by means of the Keep. You can connect your PS4 version to your Origin account though.
