I have a female elf character, so I decided to romance Solas since this is the only option him ........ but for the longest time I am getting no option when talking to him other than asking him about his experiences and Corypheus. It's boring.

That mirrors my experience in another playthrough with a female Dalish rogue. I quickly got bored with Solas for the same reasons and transferred that Inquisitors affections to Sera. Very fun romp with that wonky elf!

Romance options for male players are terrible - All Main female characters except Leliana, Morrigan, Scout Harding ans Dagna looks ugly imo

Cassandra - Ugly and manly plus her voice is terrible

Vivene - Ugly and arrogant -Is there any way to throw her out of Skyhold ? ..

Sera - Ugly and Annoying...But i will keep her as she is a good archer

Ambassador lady is cute but i hate her dress - So No

Whereas Romance options for Female players are quite good -

Cullen

Blackwall

IronBull

Solas if you are Female Elf

Female voice is also much better than Male....

Opinions on the romance options seem to be all over the map. However I entirely disagree with you on the relative beauty of the ladies you mention. I feel like all four are truly attractive and appreciate that they aren't all "cookie cutter" in their facial sculpts. Cassandra, Vivienne, Sera and Josephine represent a nice diversity among them and all are beautiful.

For me, there is little to no reason to pursue some available romances mostly due to lack of payoff in the sexy category. I know that some gamers prefer to avoid nudity and adult content, but this is not the case for me. Consider for one moment the amount of killing that the Inquisitor deals throughout this game. If a gamer has no problem slaying such a wide swath of beast, demon, and human foes for ample bloodletting, but shies away from a very few brief moments of breasts and buttocks, well ...... to each his own!

From what I've seen, read and heard, that means that I will not waste any time romancing Josie and Solas, At least as male or female, you get a decent adult moment successfully pursuing Blackwall, Iron Bull, Cassandra, Sera, Dorian, and Cullen; either they or your chosen Inquisitor flashes a little skin.

I don't see it as titillating, just a natural outcome of two lovers culminating a genuine relationship. Josephine's little leg lift is sweet and all, but man what a way to kill the vibe after chasing tail that never presents itself? Same with Solas!

(Geralt of Rivia would never stand for such bullshit. That dude lays some pipe!)

Sera is not interested in males, she is a lesbian.  Female only relationships.

Vivienne you cannot romance, you can flirt with her but will turn you down.

If you are male your choices are:  Cassandra, Josephine, Iron Bull and Dorian.

If you are female your choices are more varied: Blackwall, Josephine, Iron Bull, Sera, Cullen (human or elf only), Solas (elf only)

Well I have just had a weird one. I have a female Elf inquisitor and started romancing Solas but broke it off then kissed him again. The I was flirting with Sera and got the romance option and went the distance. Just went to speak to Solas post Arbor Wilds and he wanted to go down the romance route again and I said no.

Has anyone else said yes in that situation?

Well I just tried continuing the Solas romance so that he'd remove the Vallaslin and it happened. He then says some stuff about not wanting to hurt you and gives you a break up speech which you can choose your reaction to.

Then went straight back to see Sera and all was good, still in the romance - YAY.
