Can anyone tell me what must be done to gain maximum court approval? Any help is appreciated.

While dancing always pick the middle option of dialouge. That should help a bit.

closest I got was 99.

 

As stated above when dancing choose the middle option. Talk to those you can through out the ball, don't be direct. There is a part where you have to get into the trophy room, when u do convince the guards to go talk to Cullen about a past battle. I got a huge chunk from that. When you have to leave the ball to investigate, go as quickly as possible since the longer your gone, the more points you lose

I got a hundred helps having a human and also being respectful to the empress and being vague and saying Orlais is great also helps to take the early part in small steps never be a way to long open all doors and try to eavesdrops for scecrets to get bonus approval and looking for the caprice coins to toss in the well doesn't hurt either

Thought it was pretty easy, just eavesdrop a lot and search everywhere to find the secrets.  I also did a bit of saving so I could explore then load to not lose as much court approval during those quests that pull you away from the party.

I got into 100 but it goes back down to 98 when searching stuff in the royal wing. Since after that is just cut scenes, there's no chance of gettin them back up

I had 100 but I didn't get the achievement. Does anyone know if that's because I tried to detain Florianne instead of telling the court what she's done?

you might of drop one point at the end

eave drop bring what you hear back to leliana , that should get you to a 100 before dancing.

 

Btw that mission is the probably the best DA mission yet, it was pretty fun.

You have to Master "The Game" or you can try to publically expose the real assassin plot which will require a lot more work but result in point gain.

 

Bring Varric to the party will allow you to gain a large amount of points as well since he will attract a Council member. Varric will be located on the lower floor which requires 3 statue collected to open the door to that place.
