So I have an issue where I can't get enough Dalish favor to complete the "By the Grace of the Dalish" quest because it seems that one of the quest-givers, Ithiren, is bugged somehow. I know he is supposed to give a quest because he has an exclamation mark over him on the map. But whenever I speak to him he just says something along the lines of "I will never forget what you've done" and "You will always be welcome here". It's been this way since I first discovered the Dalish Camp. Any clue what the hell is going on? Or hopefully and a way to fix it?

I have the exact same problem except I cleared the demons from the temple and the Keeper didn't realize that I did.

I'm having an issue with this quest too. The difference is that I just finished all of the quests that I can find from the Dalish Camp and Im just a few points short. The last quest I did was for the Great Bear Pelts/Hides. Doesnt seem to be any more quests avalible.

Same here. I need another quest to get it done.

It's The Golden Halla quest and it's not a bug, somehow you, your companions or another NPC, killed the halla before triggering the quest from Ithiren, it's pretty lame but without it you can't complete the Dalish favor (happened to me too -_-")

Unfortunately yes. If you kill the Golden Halla...or if you desecrate the holy graveyard...then you can never finish this quest. As per the Prima guide, this will be an "impossible to finish" quest. It won't even show as failed.

Why would you go around killing Halla? Especially if you are playing a Dalish. I'm Dalish, first playthrough and I had to kill Halla to unlock something to make for my castle?! WTF seriously >.> Dalish don't go killing their beautiful Halla.

Because in Inquisition, creatures like the Halla and nugs....which were thought to be rare are rather commonplace and quite necessary for crafting.

This is not true. I was just having the same issue as the OP. I found this post through google. I desecrated the elven tombs, AND killed the golden halla before even finding the elves. I completed all the other quests they gave me; clearing the tomb of undead, finding the elf's brother (tell her he was brave! Do NOT say it was blood magic) and restocked their supplies. You need spindleweed, elfroot, and canine leather. Did all that and completed the quest.
Moral of the story is, if you kill the golden halla, and/or desecrate the elven burial site, "The grace of the dalish" can still be completed. Just do everything else they have.

So the only thing I have done wrong so far is tell the Dead Elf's Sister that he used blood magic and wasnt brave. The Golden Halla is alive and well and the Tombs were not desecrated. If thats the case its too late for me to go back and correct this without loosing A LOT of progress. Oh well.

I desecrated the tombs and still got Dalish Grace to full. You have to keep supplying the herbalist with supplies like elfroot and bear pelts.

I already did that. The only person with a talk option other than (Leave) is the merchant at the camp. There isnt even a supply box to put items into anymore for me. I've talked to everyone at least twice to confirm I didnt miss anyhting quest or conversation wise.
So I've cleared out the Burrial grounds without descrating them. Herded the Golden halla without killing it. Gathered all of the supplies possible. I found the dead elf and reported back he was using blood magic (I think this was my mistake here).

I did this. Good news is there's one more thing you can do for favor: there's a copy of documents concerning the Exalted March on the Dales you can find in a tomb and deliver to the Dalish. If I could remember how to access it I'd tell you; think there's War Table work involved.

No, I did do that quest, I am still short.

There's an actual bug too. You can herd the halla to the camp, then Ithiren is nowhere to be found. The map places him where the Golden Halla originally was on the beach but he's not there either.
I just came across this, which means I can't turn in the quest. His not at the Elf camp either. Is there some kind of fix?. Using my previous save would mean I'd lose 4 hours of progress ![]()

You also can't finish this quest if you tell a dalish woman that the guy she was searching for was using blood magic.
I think this quest needs some work on devs part - allow it to be marked as failed instead of leaving it indefinetly unfinished in the journal.

Give the Sentinel history to the Dalish. That offers favor.

The thing about burial grounds quest, there is a mosaic piece inside the vault you can access with the key fragments from the tombs. As I understand it, that is the only way to get that mosaic piece. So, I am in a situation where I can either finish the mural for my skyhold, or get enough dalish favor.
Edit: nevermind, sentinel history fixed that...
So, to sum it up, if you do wish to finish you mosaic, you have to break into the vault, but do better elswhere if you want your dalish agent ![]()

Yes, this did it for me also, it is a quest you get from the war room much later in the game. The Knight's Tomb, sends you to the Emerald Groves, once you get the scrool, you can turn it in to the chantry or the elves, if you do the elves, it kicks it over to friendly too you.

Do not give up 4 hours of your life for this! This game is crazy long, and you'll not care about this one bugged quest by the time you're finished. I had forgotten that I couldn't finish this quest, either. This and a collection of books from the Hissing Wastes were the only things I didn't compete on my first play-through. (The latter was a case of grinding-exhaustion and a HUGE freaking desert.)
Finish the quest on another play-through. Save your sanity.

ok so I dont read the prima guides, but if this quest can never be done becasue I desicrated the tombs, then please mark the mission as failed and remove it from my quest log.
