I played for about 12 hours using Keyboard and Mouse. I decided to give the XBox One controller a try (I prefer it over my PS4 controller, many times over) and have played for about 7 hours with it.
I will say, the controller feels more natural than the KB/M which is surprising to say the least. While I got used to the KB/M controls, combat just feels so much more fluid as does many things in DA:I including looting using a gamepad! I'd have to say, looting was extremely annoying as is hitting tactical by scrolling the mouse wheel when I was not looking to do that. I know we can SLIGHTLY customize KB/M at the moment, however anyone that is not fixated on "no, this is how it should be KB/M foreverrr" give a gamepad/controller that you are comfortable with a try.
I'd say my fun-factor has doubled just for having more fluid controls! Would I like them to fix KB/M and allow more customization? Yes of course! However, I am not going to hold my breath and wait, that only punishes myself. I definitely recommend an XBox360 or XB1 controller (they are basically identical -- why fix what's not broken?) but if you have smaller hands then a PS4 controller may suit you better (us guys with big hands TYPICALLY despise Playstation controllers due to how small and cluttered they feel --- Damn you L1/L2 and R1/R2 for being so close together! -- although PS4 is an improvement over PS3, but still not quite there for ME).
