I would literally replay the whole game to romance Harding instead. I am glad to see I am not the only person upset you couldn't romance her.

Upset? Sure. But I'm quite pleased with the Sera romance. It started off a little odd, but as it's progressed, I've fallen in love with the way she falls in love. Best written romance I've seen in a Bioware game yet.

Makes me excited to try out the other potential romances in future playthroughs. (Including potential Harding DLC.)

I still feel like gaymanced Kaiden in ME3 is their best written romance yet. I did quite enjoy the ones I have seen in Inquisition yet. Nomatter, I think we can all agree they're better written than the DA2 romances.

Bottomline is that only straight male gamers are complaining about lack of options.

Other argument that I used is that not everyone plays only their gender and sexuality but that's not related why only straight males complaing about lack of options when they have same as two other groups and only straight females (since race don't matter..) have more than them.

For me the number of options is totally fine..

But Cassandra and Josephine are weird choices

Cassandra is basically a faith based fanatist.. i know that i will not get along with her because im not faithfull at all

Leilana at least respected that my warden didnt believe in the Maker.. but Cass seems like she would be crazy about that

Josephine.. Diplomat... well.. she is pretty and intelligent... but first.... a Diplomat :D .... and shes not a Party member so less time with her...

Why cant Sera be bisexual for example? ... shes funny, smart and good times^^

Because they chose to write her as gay. Same reason Cullen is straight, Dorian is gay and Bull will **** anything that moves.

I much prefer their current approach to characters' sexualities and preferences to the "everybody's bi for Hawke" route DAII took.

^^^^^^

This! So much this. As extremely buttflustered as I am that I cannot gaymance Cullen, I am happy they didn't go with DA2's bi thing. It all felt so forced and fake in DA2 that I didn't like any of the romances, even really the one I chose.

Well, if we think about it, every dragon age game had only 2 options for straight male.

But yeah, the ladies have 2 extra options... If it was the other way around, we would have sexist threads all over the place.

When male Shep had six romance options in ME 3 (Ashley, Liara, Miranda, Tali, Jack, and Kelly) and female Shep had three romance options (Kaidan, Garrus, and Thane -- who died, btw), I remember there being a few threads about.  I also remember that there weren't four of five threads being made a day for a week straight about it.  There was one or two active threads at a time, which is, you know, a normal response.

I just used Sera as example...  as i already said im totally fine with the "number".. 2 romance options would be totally fine if they would be more interesting/likable

Cassandra is basically out for everyone like me who has no faith and no connection to religion

that leaves Josie.. theres nothing really "wrong" with her.. but she seems a bit boring..

as i said.. no problem with "just two"  not at all... their just bad options at least in my opinion

I feel Bioware didint thing a lot about the straight male romances this time around, fine fine, so Jos and Cass looks preety cool, but only humans for straight males? Its sad that there was not even ONE   dwavern romance, one! At least if you put 2 romance options for Straight males in a game, do them uniqe? I have NOT played the game yet so what is my opinnion, but considering my Inquisitor is going to be an Elf and elf romance with another elf is an extremely important matter to them, my main Inquisitor(and main character to the DA series) will not romance ANYONE. Of course if there was a crap romance that was an Elf I wouldnt romance her either but. Anyways. I am really dissapointed for the Dwarven fans, and I baerly play as a dwarf, actually in the DA series I have NEVER played as a dwarf, but still I feel you dwarven fans..

The entire time they've been producing video game romances, BioWare have never written a romanceable dwarf. Elves, half-elves, aliens of all kinds, a Tiefling and a one-eyed Qunari, but no dwarves.

I think they will some day, but it's going to be a break with tradition when it finally happens. (I've waited almost fifteen years, I can wait some more.)

Neh... I am still waiting for them to allow me to romance a Hanar... (a race of space jelly fish in ME)

Nah.  This wouldn't work either.  Because then you'd have people complaining that they don't like elves (or dwarves or qunari) and by only offering one human (god forbid if it were Cassandra), Bioware is oppressing straight male players who want a human LI.

They can't win, regardless of what they do.

For the sake of argument, why shouldn't the majority, whoever that might be, receive more attention for any given product?

http://geekfeminism....ght-male-gamer/

That's why, straight from Bioware's mouth.

Look...  I've said it once, I'll say it again.  Actually, I've never said this.

If you're so afraid of a vagina that you'll never play as a person with a vagina, then you have some deep issues.  It's called a RPG for a reason.  It's not for you, as a straight male gamer, to live out your pedantic harem lifestyle choices.

I think it's hilarious, honestly. I mean catering to less than 1% of the population like this because it's politically correct. But whatever, I hope that slim minority enjoys their content.

First: The amount of people who would like to play something besides a straight male character are exceedingly higher than 1%.

Second: It's not catering. They're writing a story. They're allowed to write their story however they wish. The romance options aren't a checklist; they're simply a part of how the characters developed during the writing process.

Third: Straight male characters get the same number of choices as either gay gender.

Seriously, why is this even still being talked about?
