Were there any moments playing all 3 games that you really got involved in and felt emotional over?

For me just today the death of Thane in ME3...... My Shepard prayed with Kolyat over his dying body in the hospital. I felt really involved in that scene and got a little teary.

The Batarian slave girl from the colonial background is easily the top of my list.

Where do you find her?

You have to choose the Colonial background for Shepard in ME1 (I forget the quests name but she's only encountered for this origin). The mission takes place on the docking port after you visit the Citadel after X missions.

Here's a clip of the mission.

I just did Grissom Academy for the upteenth time. Meeting David Archer always gets me a little choked up. (but if you repeat that I'll have to kill you)

"The square root of 906.01 equals ... ?

"30.1"

I know I felt sad seeing David there again......  I felt so sad during Overlord...

I reloaded the game when Marauder Shields killed me. Big mistake.

In no particular order:
Overlord DLC, Mordin curing the genophage, Samesh Bhatia (especially with Ash), Nyreen (more enraged than sad), choosing the geth on Rannoch (a mistake I'll never repeat), Mordin's loyalty mission, Tali finding her father and video logs from that mission, Pragia, Grissom Academy without Jack, Ardat-Yakshi monastery with Samara present (and a renegade character), telling Dr. Chakwas to work with Hackett, Joker's sister story, Samara's loyalty mission, telling Kasumi to destroy the graybox, Thane's funeral, Miranda's death in ME3, batarian slave and Zabaleta in ME1.
They were probably more, can't remember right now

That poor little boy getting blown up. I had three separate dreams about it, oh the misery.

In all seriousness, I generally find it impossible to get genuinely emotional about anything in fiction. Legion's death? Meh. Thane's death? Shrug. Mufasa's death? Whatevs. But I did get just a tiny bit emotional at the moment of Shepard's death (specifically my main Shepard's death). Say what you will about the endings, but the final cutscene was well executed (even if the content was far from perfect).

Probably the Jack LI scene in ME2 of her crying on Shep's shoulder. I found that really touching.

The only time I shed tears in ME was actually when I first heard Malukah sing and I've also blubbed at some fan fiction stuff I was lucky to read.

Honestly I could just point at ME3 and say "that!"

It was easily the most depressing game in the series and NO I'm not talking about the ending. Seems like nearly every moment in ME3 was gloomy and dark. I have fun playing ME2, playing ME3 just makes me feel depressed.

If I had to pick one particular scene... Hm. Tough one. ME3 had so, so many. I'm going to have to with Anderson's final conversation on the citadel. I wasn't even attached to Anderson going into ME3 but for some reason it really struck me when he died. Good job, Bioware.

Saddest moments? Mordin, Legion, Tali, Thane and finding Tali's father.

Gut wrenching? The slave girl in ME1, Jack being tortured, The Quarian Fleet being butchered, Sanctuary if you read all the terminals and activated all the buttons and destroying the Destiny Ascension.

Immediately post-Kai Leng battle on Thessia. Listening to those Commandos get torn to shreds over the communicator. It would have been like that if it happened on any world, though.

BTW, How did Shepard get out of there? Must have been the Normandy, because they can land in front of Harbinger without being noticed.

Thane's final scene at Huerta Memorial. I didn't even like the guy very much before this, but damn. "His wish was for you."  :crying:

Thane's death scene at Huerta Memorial. Kudos to whoever wrote that scene, particularly the prayer. That final line uttered by Shepard hit me right in the feels. "Guide him Kalahira, and he will be a companion to you as he was to me." Meer's delivery was also spot on.

Anderson's death was a runner up. "You did good, son. You did good. I'm...proud of you." Also that music.

Liara's 'Name in the Stars' scene also deserves a mention. Besides just being a touching scene in general, it felt like a eulogy for Shepard.

Worth mentioning that moment with Grunt and the Rachni

Grunt: Go!

Shepard: *taps his shoulder and nods*

Grunt: He, he, he....now it's my turn.

I swear if he hadn't popped up at the end of that mission it would be worse than losing Legion Tali and Thane.

Other than the few big ones. The teenager waiting in the refugee dock for her parents who never arrive and is being looked after by the Turian c-sec officer.
The story the Asari commando tells about tiptree and the little girl.

That one is even sadder once you get the dialogue where its hinted at being Joker's sister.

I still feel bad for joker coz I yelled at him anyway afterwards even once I figured out it was his sister. Luckily you get to apologise.
