I have been stuck on this quest because I can't find the writing to became a reaver. I talked to Iron Bull but he does not help and The Maker help be if I run through Val Royeaux again looking for the book merchant. Is this quest messed up for anyone else on am I as smart as sandal?
Is Way of the Reaver broken?

So now it's telling me that I have not done any of the quest. I have all the items but they are not grayed out. And the trainer is not helping at all.

Do you not need the other materials as well? Its like a potion you have to craft or something. I forget the ingredients

if you have all the mats, go to a requisition table and craft the item, then talk to the trainer.

It doesn't update the quest if it's anything like the book I got from Val Royeaux(Didn't realise you could get it from Iron Bull at that point in time). Just create the blood in the requisitions screen and the quest will complete.
