So I know that the game recommends a 3.0 GHz processor, but the minimum is only a 2.0 GHz. Considering this, how would a 2.5 GHz processor perform? My PC also has 8 gigs of ram and I'll be upgrading my graphics card to a Radeon R9 270.. I'm asking because I'm planning on upgrading in order to play this game and want to make sure I buy the right things; at the same time, if I don't need to buy something I don't want to.

I have a quad intel 2.8 ghz processor and a GTX970 and it runs fine. With everything on ultra I get Max FPS of 40+ and min FPS of 30. More than playable.
