OK it will come as no surprise, with all the PC negativity, that I concur and think PS4 version is currently miles better. It's just a much more enjoyable pleasant experience. I am a PC gamer at heart which is why I spent a lot of money recently to get a decent one, and it pains me that pretty much every game coming out of the PC is flawed/bugged and just generally causes a headache.

I was playing this first on the PC and it's an amazing game, bugs and all, but I was getting annoyed with the frame rate dips and constantly going into the settings was hampering my enjoyment. So I bit the bullet and got the PS4 version to see how that plays. My god, it was just so much more enjoyable. No messing, just straight into gorgeous graphics and smooth FPS.

The PC really does need patching. It needs tweaking to become the better version it should be.

Also, the Tac-Cam works much better on console, it just seems to flow better.

That being said, this is still an amazing game on any format. The story is the same on all of them and so are the characters. I am sure the PC will prevail over time with patches and mods. This is all just my opinion as of now, with only about 6 hours into the game, but I am sticking with the PS4 until Bioware patch things.

I don't need to see the ps4 version in action to know that that game looks, runs and plays better on my PC.

High settings 50-60fps, enough said.

Having seen them both, as my room mate has the ps4 copy and I have the PC copy, I much prefer it on PC. I'm a sucker for Aesthetics and the game just looks way better on Ultra. Whenever it pans in on his Qunari's face and I can see the blocks that make up his details I cringe. The tactical camera is something I got used to fast, though I think it is a little dumb that you have to move the little curser around as if it was a player to position around corners.

im glad to read your opinion OP!!! i was on the fence for SOOOO LOOONG about which version to get. i have been a PC game 1st gamer for the last 10+ years, where once in a while, a new HDTV or a new console like the xbox 360 slim would come out, and i would be swayed away for a few months, but i would always come back to PC.

this time was rough for me. it even took me longer to enjoy the game because i was thinking "should i have bought the other version?" the whole time playing.

i pre ordered PS4 version and was reading as much as possible about PC vs PS4, and i just could not make up my mind. i assumed liek usual i would prefer a new dragon age game on PC because thats just how i am, especially with bioware games and even more so with DA.

but after a few days in, and reading about how PC controls have been, and me not having a great video card, i just realized it was so good on PS4.

i was literally like 1 foot away from my 40" LED and was saying to myself, "is this really looking//playing this good???" how is it possible? i'm blown away at how this game is optimized for PS4...

sorry for the long boring rant, i ultimately want it on PC though, because DAO and DA2 is on my PC and i just have to have them all together, i'm weird like that.

but i'm glad i read your post because my friend bought PC version, i tried to get him to get the PS4 (so we can co-op, another reason i must get it for PC) but hes blindly in love with his PC (which is understandable, i7 CPU and a geforce 770, etc etc and so on i only have a geforce 550ti, thats why i went PS4, its just a coincidence that PS4 seems the best version)... but he would never say anything negative about the PC version because that's what he bought it for. i had a feeling he wasn't giving me the full lowdown on pc version and being subjective because i had been trying to get him to buy it for PS4... lol

sorry, its late, and my writting is horrid'er than usual....

cheers!!!

I will update this the more I play both versions, and like I say this is just my opinion and not in anyway technical or scientific, just more of a gut feeling from a old git who has always preferred PC gaming.

Just had another quick go on the PC and on Ultra it does look better (as you would expect) but not massively. I personally still prefer the combat on the PC even though the tac-cam for me feels better on the PS4. As someone not really into controllers I just feel more at home with a mouse and I do not have an issue with the "hold down mouse button" to attack.

Also I do feel that once the PC patch hits to tweak a few things, it will be awesome.

Also also, I do like the way I can walk on the PS4. I don't like always running :) I like to take in the surroundings.
