He was a lost mad lunatic in DA2,

Spoiler

I was actually a bit annoyed when I saw him to be honest, I don't find him entertaining, scary or engaging as a villain really, I hope there's something more to him other than him trying to take the Golden city again, or he's simply a front for something more sinister.

Spoiler

Big reason I liked COry was because he was extremely active and felt like a threat. In this game both factions are always at eachother via spies, soldiers ect. I personally liked that everyone was always trying to take advantage and Cory was just not sitting in a throne directing people, hew was active on the filed or had his pet dragon help his servants. This gives him more credibility imo.

Don't get me wrong, Cory is a decent antagonist; he has an interesting background and motives, however I feel it's kind of a let down to introduce a character that we already know as a main villain, I just wish that there was something more to it other than him seeking to destroy/take over the world. I would have been pleasantly surprised if he was introduced much later into the story as it explains certain points with the Wardens current situation, making it more mysterious and unkown, instead he is revealed too early to the plot, before certain key points are revealed. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we are given the character before we really know anything about him and his motives other than the typical "take over the world", which make me feel slightly bored to be honest. If there was a peon (which there is) acting in his place before we know who the "Elder One" really is, then perhaps I would be more interested. This is of course my personal opinion, I still like and enjoy the game, I simply sort of knew that this was coming.
