So folks, I'm roughly 20 hours in. Hanging around Crestwood, the Hinterlands and the Storm Coast, also I've just got in Skyhold.. but so far I haven't found any of the armors featured in the trailers, the ones with the Inquisition eye-and-sword symbol on them. Anyone knows where I can buy them/loot them/find their schematics?

No.

One of the trailers, the very first trailer that featured the Inquisitor and announced the release date as October 7, had the Inquisitor wearing a chestplate with the Inquisition symbol on it. Also the last couple of gameplay trailers featured said armors as well. So no, it's not just Cassandra. I want to know if these armors are in the final game and, if so, how can I acquire them.

It is a little bit strange that the warrior armour and helmet they have shown the Inquisitor wearing in most of the trailers isn't apparently available in the game.

If you go to the main Dragon age site you will see the armour and helmet immediately as its the first image that pops up.

I found the helmet schematic in a cave on Crestwood. That is what got me hopeful for the armors... should have mentioned this in the OP, sorry.

I wonder if thats random, I was playing in Crestwood last night (pretty much went and did everthing possible) and didn't find it.

Apparently there was one in the western approach area and a couple of dragons dropped them when killed for another player.....kind of weird that they have made the iconic Inquisitor helmet so rare.

I had to go a little bit out of my way to get it, but it could be random. I can tell you where I found it but this session of the forums is a non spoiler one. The closest hint I can give you is that at one point the cave led you to a section of the Deep Roads with a Rage Demon patrolling the halls.

But you're right, it could be entirely random.

Spoiler

The guide is on its way to me so I'll have a look when it arrives to see if its a random drop or not.
