The noise scares the hell out of me, especially when I am in a calm conversation or cutscene and out of nowhere *NOISE*.

Ok, I exagerated a bit, but it's still annoying. Any way to do it?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\sounds

rename achievement.wav to something like bakachievement.wav

Yes agreed!

I just silenced Origin sounds completetly and then I don't hear it anymore! :)

Is there an in-application option for that, or did you do it otherwise? Because I can't find it in Origin settings.

It's annoying as hell, when you're in a middle of an epic cutscne, and you get a goddamn achievement. At least Steam doesn't notify you of that with a loud-ass sound effect.

Since we talk about sound am i the only one that dislikes the "look for item" sound?

It pretty much sounds like the motion-tracker from alien ...

Can one simply exchange those soundfiles?

Oh, thank goodness there is a way to turn this off. And I'm glad I'm not the only person who jumped out of their chair.

Haha, I also was thinking of this! I play with a headset on almost max volume and the sound made me jump more than once.

I had no idea what it was until about 30 hours in!

Yep, super annoying.

I don't care about achievements, I do care if a get a reminder that I'm playing a game, which that sound does.

The sound itself is also immersion breaking because it sounds like an 80's video game noise.
