Do the burning effects from the Inferno School stack with each on the same target other or is burning overwritten by the newest / highest effect?

I have no personal experience yet with BURN effects, however if it works the same as poisons, it appears that the effect of the LAST attack that applied it, is the one that sticks. I could be wrong but thats what ive noticed in my playthrough as an Archery Rogue at level 14 on nightmare.

I believe multiple burns applies the highest one, refreshing the DOT - not stacking it. (could be wrong).

I assume it works like poison -- it doesn't stack. I certainly didn't notice it stacking, anyway.
