There really needs to be a way that we can see the stats of an item BEFORE we craft it. 

 

Or... IS there a way that I'm just not seeing?

You can't see the stats of what your crafting at the moment which really blows. BIOWARE! PAY ATTENTION TO THIS!!! The one thing you can do however is go to inventory and look at your crafting ingredients. That will show you possible outcomes depending if you put it in an offensive or deffensive slot.

While asking about crafting feature requests:  how about seeing what armour looks like before we craft it too?

You see the stats for weapon part crafting.  On PS4 its in the top-right corner of the screen.

you don't see stats for armor crafting because there is NO difference in stats no matter how you build it. Weapons on the other hand, do and it tells you exactly what each mat is doing when you build something.

OMG, YES! I just HATE this crafting in the dark stuff.

I'm in favor of this as well, largely because as msman76 pointed out, there's no difference except for slightly higher armor ratings.  The materials used in armor construction have no bearing on the armor itself.  The only real reason to craft different armor is for the fancy new appearance, which would be even better if we could actually see the new appearance before investing the mats.
