I don't know if anyone else has notice this but the majority of "0/10" reviews on metacritic are one review accounts made very recently. It's kind of sad that people feel the need to crap on something just to be a-holes. Sure DAI has some flaws, but it's still the best game i've played so far. I just hope that Bioware knows better than to base their bonus system off of user reviews. Some companies actually do that.

Never metacritic I didn't like, mainly because I never use their reviews. This kind of thing appears to the norm, and will continue to do so unless they enforce ownership of the games as a criteria to vote. Try Amazon instead; games still may get poor or praised reviews, but their votes are from actual owners of the games.

Yeah it cant possibly be that new players make new accounts to rate a game ...

Reality is there are more than enough trolls on both sides that will most of the time simply give you a rather accurate score. (not to mention manipulations by marketing companies etc)

Also i think review-scores are even worse. The first few scores will be pretty much pointless (give us 9+ or you cant have the first review etc.). Next there will be lots of magazines that are afraid to give scores below 80 because they are afraid to get less money from ads from those companies etc. (have you never wondered why pre-release reviews always tend to be 9/10 or even 10/10?)

I dont see why ppl are complaining so much about user-reviews 0point reviews when there are probably equally as much 10point troll scores or even scores given from the developers themselves and random marketing companies ...

I only trust certain Youtubers reviews since years. And some sites that seem to be rather objective.

Reality is  DA:I scores from magazines are way too high now. PC Controlls, Cut-Scene fps drops etc.

^ What he said.

There are equal amounts of 10/10 trolls as there are 0 rating trolls. In between you might find honest reviews. It's a mixed bag from which you will have to take a sufficiently large sample size & then draw your own conclusions.

On a personal note, if this is the best game you've ever played you must have started gaming yesterday.

While you are at it, If you think that all the 0 are trolls, and only they make new accounts to posts 0, let's look at some of the 10 reviews, and reasoning behind their 10 :

Spoiler

There you go. Shiny isn't it ?

At the beginning I looked at Metacritic for fun to see how they reacted to the new game but it isn't interesting now.

Same goes for the one liner 10/10 reviews.

DA:O, ME1 and ME2 have a very high user score on Metacritic, while DA2, ME3 and DA:I have a low score. The critic score for all of those games is very high.

The Metacritic user score is remarkably accurate as opposed to the critic score.

I tend to stay away from sites like those. Too many people bash Bioware now, don't trust open forums/reviews to be reasonable.

ahaha

you are joking right.  meta critic is accurate.....

i hope you're joking....people starting trolling that hard a couple years ago.  metacritic is terrible on release for user review score.  it is useful if u want to pull up a bunch of professional reviews to sort through though.

They tend to sort themselves out the further you get from release date and the trolls go away.  X-Com I remember was rated a 2 or 3 for quite awhile.  Same thing with civ 5.  And pretty much any other game I've liked now that I think about it.

The user review store in DAI PC is legit as the controls for PC are bad, now if it's for the console versions then it's a troll.

metacritiic is like imdb. too many trolls to be trusted. take all reviews with a pinch of salt (esp those one liner 10s and 1/0s)

I don't care much about reviews of professionals or non professionals.  Professionals don't seem to have my taste and the non professionals react mostly emotional and dare review a game after a few hours of gameplay which I think is silly but also unrespectfull to the team who made the game.

I youtube gameplay and for me that works in order to estimate if I will like it.  Title like it is an RPG isn't good enough, lots of RPG's out there I dont't like.

Simply put Bioware scores highly in their games where I do a total playthru not to mention the multi mutiples ones.

So I wised up, ended my payed gamer subsribtions and buy sales.  I got 55 steam games and play 3 of them semi regulary!!  And of those 55 are a lot I played for a few hours, it just didn't click.

Bioware games I still play them all and is the one exception I preorder.  Do I think their games are perfect, no far from it but they perfectly fit my needs concerning gaming and gameplay.  I am eagerly awaiting ME4 but enjoing DAI in the meantime.  Yes, more of a ME girl then DA girl.

Ok. One more thing. Let's do something like that.

We are going to ignore all the "0" and for the sake of balance let's also ingnore all the "10".

No, let's go even further. Ignoring all the "0" and "1" and only "10" from the top half:

User scores average (2..9 range) = 5.8

Now even bit further, ignoring "0" "1" "2" "10"

User scores average (3..9 range) = 6.3

I wonder how far should I go ignoring the bottom scores to even remotely reach the scores of DA:O.

Maybe I'll do that later, for now it is obvious, the scores are not rocking.

There sure is a lot of butthurt in this thread because the metacritic user score for DA:I is rather low.  :D

DA:I deserves that low score just like ME3 and DA2. Get over it.

Places like Metatritics are good because they represent the players, good and bad, trolling, fanboying, hating, loving, not caring etc. It's like statistics - they do not really show details but rather a general image. Prof.reviews I do not trust anymore, to be honest. They always give 8/10 and higher to even bad games

Also as someone said prior to me - if you remove "troll" 0/10 posts then for equality sake you should also remove 10/10 posts. And calculate the rest. It's still pretty average

The best choice in my experience is youtube. Folk like AngryJoe. Or, well, especially AngryJoe

Nice one mate. I don't care either way if people like the game or not , I just don't get constant bashing of a game that you are no longer playing without constructive criticism.

What are you hoping to achieve?

Some people get really mad over games and this is how they vent, it's nothing new to metacritic. I think Inquisition stomps on everything else released this year but it does have problems. Not that it excuses that kind of behaviour with a game this good. They've got it at 7.2 for PS4 which is about right it's a solid 9 if the bugs had been worked out. 10/10 reviews are just as bad if you ask me that would imply perfection.
