Grats on the solo, but not impressing me.

Already soloed threatening with arcane warrior, no health potions or health fonts.

Keep at it though!

Hey, hey Kal...post that build of yours >.> I've been fiddling around with my AW but am kinda stumped on how to get a good one going.  Played with you the other night by the way, awesome reaver armor!  Which version is that?  IIRC yours was blue and gold coloration?

Abilities: Pull of the abyss, chain lightning, spirit blade, and stonefist (all evos taken)

Passives:combat clarity, guardian spirit, fade shield, gathering storm, composed, mind over matter, strength of spirits, rejuvenating barrier, disturbance of spirit, twisting veil, encircling veil, and restorative veil.

Usually open up with pull of the abyss, then chain lightning for barrier generation.  After that its stonefist or go in to melee distance, depending on how far away everyone is.

When an enemy feels like persistently blocking, i usually throw a stonefist or chain lightning on them to get them to let down their guard.  Archers are the bane of your existence, so I tend to make them a high priority.

Also, from upgrades on my mindchill staff (134 dps) I get 8% health regen per kill, and from rings I get another 7%.  I highly recommend arcane warriors who intend to get close and tank get health regen on kill.  Its marvelous.

And the reaver armor was dread reavers mail (dragonbone).  And yep, its kinda blue underpadding and gold outer layer.  Its the only alt. dreadreaver armor I have so far  .

Yeah, well, some of us are stuck with crappy staves until RNGesus decides to bless us with better loot : /  and for whatever reason I have a hard time finding cotton (90% of the cloth I get is silk) so I don't want to blow them on the upgrade until I get a really good staff like that.  Good to know about the AW though, thanks.  I was thinking of the same ability setup so good to know I was working in the right direction.

Is the 8% regeneration from the staff or the upgrades? If it's the upgrades what did you use?

Its from a blade and grip upgrade placed on the staff.  Its a notched staff grip and an acolyte staff blade.  I used imperial vestment cotton and lustrous cotton for 4% heal on kill per piece.

I've solo'd routine with my Templar. The hardest challenge is the final fight, a high level tank can't really be harmed by normal means on thay difficulty.

Kudos though, not just any scrub can do it.

Lol world first.  I didn't even know this was a thing.  A level 20 soloing Routine is a big deal?  I do that at level 8.  Thought that was just standard.  Guess I'm an amazing pro gamer.

You really should try Fade Cloak instead of Stonefist, I found it to be much more useful in the long run and does twice the damage. Demon Commander trying to teleport to you? Np, just Fade Cloak and let him eat that 1000% weapon damage. Large group of enemies that can block? Chain lightning into Pull of the Abyss for mass sleep, then Fade Cloak in for AOE damage and trigger Nightmare combo with your Spirit Blade. Oh, and I also recommend skipping the evo on Spirit Blade because it's simply not worth it. You're better off with Force of Will instead.

P.S. I've soloed all 3 enemy types in Threatening as well with AW, Reaver just don't have enough sustain to do it with Rampage on 30 second cooldown imho.

The projectile reflect on Spirit Blade demolishes the Arcane Horror chest room boss, which is fairly entertaining.  Seems significantly less useful on archers.

I agree though, Fade Cloak is excellent.  Not having an escape skill would make me nervous.

[Edit] Had my mini-bosses mixed up.  Meant the Arcane Horror.  That rapid-fire spirit bolt deal he does can be reflected back for sheer hilarity.

Can you post your build? I don't want to mess up mine, but I use the same skills (pull, chain lightning, blade, fade cloak)

I don't have good enough gear though.

Same build as mine aswell, im currently doing a write up and a video too which i should finish today. Have a decent staff now as well (118 deepz). Doing some extra recording of the fade cloak/POTA combo because its really powerful.

Ability in order of acquisition: Spirit Blade, Chain Lightning, Fade Shield, Guardian Spirit, Arcing Surge, Rejuvenating Barrier, Fade Cloak, Decloaking Blast, Disturbance of Spirit, Encircling Veil, Restorative Veil, Pull of the Abyss, Shaken Veil, Gathering Storm, Mind over Matter, Twisting Veil, Combat Clarity, Force of Will, Strength of Spirit, Smothering Veil. The Last point is up to you. If you want more versatility you can get Fade Step to sub in when you're going to be the one tanking the boss in Perilous, otherwise, I'd just get Phasing for more tankiness or Stormbringer for some extra damage.

Reason why I don't get Composed is because it's really just +2 to Magic since you can get Willpower and Constitution from Promoting.

BTW I'm using a Rare level 21 staff with 125 dps.

With AW it's pretty easy to solo threatening. The Aw is extremly strong if he has enough enemies around him which can be a problem in team fights.
To put it simple Aw is a extremly strong solo char but not a Teamplayer.

Btw lvl 16 and a common staff of lvl 12 is more than enough to solo threatening.
