I had some in the beginning, but used it all and now that I have much better armors, I want to adorn them with the greatest cloth of all...but I can't remember who drops it or where?? Hinterlands? I've searched around a bit but not found any. Help a hipster dwarf out?

me too. especially since it improves magic. and it's yellow. 

 

still in Hinterlands myself but maybe we can some buy in Val Royaeux. Who ever finds a supply of them, post it here please.

Is there any way to colour it?

 

I'm pretty sure it drops in the Hinterlands but i can't remember exactly where. Will make a note when i do get some drop.

Ok I just found some more from a Hurlock in Valammar. (Lol stylish Darkspawn)...but only one out of a bunch dropped it, the rest dropped highever weave.

I will keep looking around in the Hinterlands....maybe Storm Coast too, if some Darkspawn will drop it, because I haven't cleared all the Darkspawn there yet.

You get it from Varric personal's quest.

Actually there's another key. I went in there long before Varric's quest. Without giving a spoiler I'll just say it's in a fort in the Hinterlands.

There is a 3rd Tier cloth that also has yellow coloring, and it looks even nicer.
Its like 'Kings somthing somthing'

Kings Willow Weave is a lovely yellow-gold, but it is not plaid. You see my problem.

I've started a new game since finishing, and it seems like mages in Hinterlands drop it. For other plaid fans, you might consider farming it then...because once you advance the main quest, the mages aren't there anymore and it becomes scarce.

I've been searching for Royal Sea Silk. Not much success with that. I did however obtain a small amount of Plaidweave from the bandits / highwaymen in Crestwood. On the hillside behind the keep.

Found more plaidweave. Seems to be a rare drop from darkspawn? There's a prison in the Western Approach that's full of them, and I got a few more plaidweave from it. Tried to farm it, but they ended up just dropping Highever Weave like 99% of the time.
