We'll probably get two DLC expansions (Origins had: Golems, Witch Hunt, Awakening & DA II had: Legacy & Mark of the Assassin). I'm guessing it'll be a Legacy/MOTA type of thing but will be available once the main story is completed, of course it would be cool if they went down the Awakening path but I doubt that will happen.

Something exploring Mortalitasi in Nevarra maybe? I'd love to check out a Necropolis.

Isn't it obvious? The epilogue clip should be a clear sign that Bioware intends to go the Marvel route with Dragon Age and have the Warden, Hawke and the Inquisitor team up to form a new branch of the Inquisition called the Revenger Initiative!

I'm hoping for the exact opposite, humans as the villains for once, and us leading the Dalish to get justice for all they have suffered, the razing of Val Royeax and ghettoisation of it's population would be a personal highlight, letting my soldiers use the population they way they used elves would have a sweet, sweet justice to it, bending a chevalier open and shoving a broken broom handle up him on a reciprocating mechanism for an hour for every alienage woman he raped would be good, and keep the average Orleasian bent over a barrel for weeks.

I'd like to see a blood mage specialization DLC.

DA2 was actually going to have a larger awakening-style expansion, but it was dropped because of lack of interest. Inquisition is much more popular than 2, so I think it'll probably get a larger expansion.

I doubt it, if they're looking for a three year turnaround on main games I don't think we'll be getting any large expansions, though we might get some substantial DLCs.DA2 was actually going to have a larger awakening-style expansion, but it was dropped because of lack of interest. Origins had more: Stone Prisoner, Return to Ostagar and Soldier´s Peak. And well, I´m not counting the spinoffs because they are not relevant.
It is possible that Bioware releases DLC´s for the campaign time and perhaps something Awakening-style afterwards.

Plus they have all the ropes already on the game. DLC´s can be a nice way to buy all those extra things (influence, weapons...) and get more influence for more inquisition perks.
I´d personaly love to visit Kal Hirol and rebuild the dungeon with some dwarven engineering... ![]()
In fact, and regarding Skyhold, I´d love to be able to build everthing and there seems to be pleeeeenty of room to add a chantry or the infinary if you want so; even when the game forces you to choose (you´d get a smaller advantage than the large version).

I think Solas/Fen'harel will be a good character, trying to restore the world as it was before the Betrayal. His post-discovery Tarot card of him is so symbolic! He wears a dark wolf pelt draped around his neck, but walks with a white wolf. I hope he becomes a protagonist for my Inquisitor's sake ![]()

With Solas I have two competing ideas: throught the game he seems to be a very kind guy. He approves of curiosity and logic, yes, but also being kind to people and not behaving like a Vivienne stuck up moron.
It seems strange that he´s ploting an "I´m gona pull out an archdemon and destroy stuff no matter the cost" but who knows...

i HOPE... HOPE that Solas will be the antagonist, not the villain for the next Dragon Age
The wolf is a certainly... antagonistic member of the Elven Pantheon, and i'm getting the impression that for whatever reason Solas wanted the orb is for a reason that may not be to good for Thedas.
When i say antagonist, not Villain.. is that i want Solas to have motives that can be related to, and the player can say... yeah, i see where he is coming from
Not some big bad that's just being evil for power.
Also hope that a big part of the next game (IF it continues about the inquisition, so far the DA games have massively shifted perspective game to game, so i am doubtful it will continue to run with the inquisition). Is dealing with corruption and a Inquisition that has the power to shake Thedas but no clear enemy to point at (kinda like what people perceive of the US post cold-war), this was talked about a fair bit in DA:I as to what the inquisition will do once the world was saved

I'm pretty sure Solas or Flemeth will star in a DLC or expansion of some description. Let's remember Solas gave his Orb to Corypheus, and even if he didn't know exactly what Cory would do, a Tevinter magister and blood mage turned Darkspawn who triggered the Blights should not exactly be trusted with artifacts that can unravel the very fabric of reality. As such, he's unlikely to be anything but an antagonist, even if I hope he's not a straigth up villain.
Whenever DA:I will actually have an expansion will be dictated by sales I suspect. If I recall correctly, Awakening didn't do that well. Unless Inquisition beats sales projections (which, this being EA, will be hard), I think we'll have a DLC cycle instead. Which doesn't mean they will be low quality, but I'd rather address Solas, Flemeth and all the rest of the ancient elves plotline in a full-fledged game rather than in a simple DLC.

Like @luridedith's suggestions for DLC and the next game.
I may be in the minority here, but I would love to see BW figure out some of the development speed Ubisoft has and give us a DA game more frequently (every 2 years?!), even if that means it's a bit smaller than the sprawling Inquisition. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for content and love that this is a game you can get 100 hours of playtime in a single playthrough, but if you could give me a game that yielded 70 hours and give me those games more frequently I'd still make that trade. I pay full price for games that I beat in 10-15 hours so frequently that a meaty RPG is still few and far between. I will say, The Witcher 3 now has an incredibly high bar to hurdle to be even in the same conversation.

I think a 3 year cycle is a bit more reasonable. Especially since I think they're aiming for an alternating cycle so we get a new game every year (Dragon Age-New IP-Mass Effect, for example, one release each year.Like @luridedith's suggestions for DLC and the next game.

@Heimdall - I didn't know they'd stated that was their design intent. I could deal with that, For me BW is making the best RPG's out there by a pretty wide margin, but we're sitting at 2014 (almost 2015 really) and their last game was ME3. If they can get to releasing something every year that would be a huge improvement over the current pace. Look, you don't want to sacrifice quality, and I'm not suggesting that - but there is something to be said with some studios have found ways to put out reasonably solid content in preexisting IP (I'm looking at you Assassin's Creed, a series I hate but often gets good reviews) by leveraging existing engine, preexisting teams, etc. To have a permanent DA team and a permanent ME team that is perpetually working on stuff for those IP's such that they aren't restaffing for each new property would shorten dev times at least somewhat.

Just finished the game and dealing with slight post-game depression. Can't wait for DA to continue. Personally I'm hoping for an expansion for DA Inquisition like Awakenings but I guess nowadays it's more about smaller DLCs.
As for Dragon Age 4 I don't care too much about where it takes place as long as our actions in previous games could REALLY be seen. That night before starting Inquisition going through the choices in Dragon Age Keep, I was impressed how many of my previous choice would have an impact in Inquisition. Now after playing the game I notice that they really didn't matter nearly as much as I thought. The only choices made in the keep that strengthened the immersion for me were that my Warden did the ritual with Morrigan and Alistair is the King and in the end those choices barely mattered.

NUGS. SO MANY NUGS.
Would buy a DLC where there's a nug raid boss, especially if you gave a nug to Leliana in DAO.
The Son of Schmooples. He would drop a nug-skull helmet that fits perfectly with the banana-on-a-stick sword and the cheesewheel shield.

Me, I want something related to Vengeance. Anders may be(SHOULD BE!) dead. But Vengeance can still survive. I'd love a DLC focused on getting rid of Vengeance. Maybe have Hawke come along if he/she didn't die, Fenris/Sebastian along for the ride to kill the abomination, Merrill to help out on the magical stuff. Cameo by the Hawke sibling. Maybe Aveline?.....Yeah, not sure I could justify her presence. At all.
Point is, I'd like to see some loose ends from Kirkwall tied up. As long as we to NOT set foot in that cesspool of a city.
