Like @luridedith's suggestions for DLC and the next game.

I may be in the minority here, but I would love to see BW figure out some of the development speed Ubisoft has and give us a DA game more frequently (every 2 years?!), even if that means it's a bit smaller than the sprawling Inquisition. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for content and love that this is a game you can get 100 hours of playtime in a single playthrough, but if you could give me a game that yielded 70 hours and give me those games more frequently I'd still make that trade. I pay full price for games that I beat in 10-15 hours so frequently that a meaty RPG is still few and far between. I will say, The Witcher 3 now has an incredibly high bar to hurdle to be even in the same conversation.

Hasn't that not gone well with Assassin's Creed: Unity? I was initially excited about it but after hearing some of the pre-release stuff (women are hard to animate), and the post-release stuff (bugs galore, poor characterization) I have no interest in picking up the game. I'm not one of those people who says "take as long as you need even if it's 20 years," for video games, but Ubisoft's strategy seems to be yielding very hit/miss results.

If I had to guess I would say DA4 is likely to be based around the Quanri-Tevinter war. Then again everyone thought DA3 would be mainly about the Mage-Templar war, and that was only one part of it so it could be something more. But I agree that saving the world for the 3rd time is a bit much. Also it's entirely possible the whole Solas thing might be handled with a DLC or expansion instead of an entirely new game. Either way there will without a doubt be some DLC coming our way sooner or later so we have that to look forward to.

What I would love to see is a rise of the elves, I specifically drank from the well to see if any knowledge of elven can be preserved. Plus with all this Elven Gods and crap, I think it might be very likely it's at least going to be more elvish, I had an Elven Warden and and Elven Inquisitor, I just hope we also get more news about my Warden.

The story is clearly heading to some kind of big reveal in regards to the elves, so it's very very likely you'll get what you're asking for. Except for the warden part, pretty sure the story of the warden is done for good.

Given the surprises I didn't expect at this point I wouldn't be surprised if the maker returned or even if sandal turned out to be the maker would certainly explain a lot about how you always find him without a hair harmed on his head.

I think we will get a full on Awakenings type expansion for this, they've put too much time/effort into this engine they are gonna want to get some mileage out of it while it is still young and new.

I think Fen'Harel/Solas and Weisshaupt will be two separate DLCs.

I hope we see more about the Elves too in any upcoming DLC, especially more about Arlathan, and the possible return of the Creators! I really enjoyed the Emerald Graves zone. When I heard Solas say that each tree was planted for a fallen elf, the enormity of the forest left me awestruck, and the lost Dalish temples and their puzzles were a blast  ^_^

I don't necessarily see Solas as an antagonist, but rather the source of something that is to come that will come with its own trials. Whether that be a bad thing or not is still in the air.

That's not justice, it's revenge. Two wrongs don't make a right.

For the next game  don't want anymore empties big areas just for grinding/farming.

That is such a waste of time the dev and for players.

I want them to go back to DAO roots and just expand them in HD.

Because at the moment, outside of the main story I'm playing more a walking simulator rather than an rpg just to fo find letters...

I'm hoping to see more of the Deap Roads in the future. Those were my favorite part of Origins.

I wanna track down Solas, meet Bodahn and Sandal as the Inquisitor, maybe see some of the old followers and stuff. Aside that, just more content to play my characters in, especially my rogue Trevelyan, my new fav BW protagonist I think

DAI DLC (what i would want)

- Northern Wardens story.

- Whats going on in the Anderfels?

- Maybe a Boss fight with Nightmare?

- Cosmetic DLC. Maybe a war table mssions to find a tailor(custom shyhold clothes), barber/stylish (beard and hair customization) and a tattooist (new tatt's)

- Tier 4 weapons pack including schematics

- Star metal

DA4

- Dread Wolf/Mythal continuation. Perhaps as a Guide

- Tevinder, Nevaara, Antiva, Rivian and the Anderfels as locations.

- Dorian and Fenris as my guess on returning Companions (Maybe acquire both in a quest at the same time. Fenris hunting down Dorian's father would tie them together nicely)

- I really want a Qunari Saarebas (former) as a companion. Would be interesting and different

- Origins: Child of a Magister  (Human), Magister Servant (Human or Elf), Carta Guard (Dwarf) and Dragon Hunter (Human or Qunari)

- Plot points would be Tevinter/Nevarra war. Dread Wolf/Mythal.

I keep seeing people say they don't want to save the world a third time. Did I miss something, or did we not save the world in DA2? Honestly, we basically made the world a worse place by the end of the game by lighting the fuse for the mage-templar war and bringing red lyrium to the surface.

for DA:I content, I kinda hope they do an expansion that resolves the Solas/Flemeth plot. I'd much rather they deal with that first and have the next game set in Tevinter (dealing with the Tevinter/Qunari war and the fall out from learning that Tevinter didn't wipe out the elves). If not Tevinter, then somewhere beyond Thedas perhaps? The World of Thedas volume 2 comes out in April and it's going to give us information on what's beyond Thedas. Maybe prepping for an introduction in the next game?

What are these volumes about? Is it pretty much what the title of them suggests?

"Want to know everything about and beyond Thedas? Boom, here you go"

Would you recommend they're worth the read? I have the Novels on my Christmas list, so if this is definitely something I should get, then I'll add it to the list.

It's basically a lore book. It gives background and information on the various races plus their customs, religion, etc...

Throughout the whole book is a timeline that gives the events of Thedas. It's a very good read if you're a Dragon Age fan. All of the info is on the Dragon Age wiki, but the book is presented nicely.

Volume 1 dealt with Thedas. Gaider says Volume 2 will give us our first information on what lies beyond Thedas.

Thanks for the information, I'll definitely pick up Volume 1 then. Wiki's are nice for on the fly moments, but I need more physical reading material. Particularly for when I go to bed, can't go to sleep if my minds on the buzz from playing games.

I'll be eager to see what Volume 2 hints at.

I'd like one where we investigate the red lyrium.  If we gave the shard to Varric, he goes all Anders-in-Legacy, and if not, he thanks his lucky stars that Hawke wouldn't let him keep it.

I'm going to throw out a random guess here and say we'll get three story based DLCs

One will deal with some weird sh** that we would have in no way speculated about beforehand. It'll be a mixed bag.

The second will be a larger expansion which will most likely deal with either the Grey Warden Schism thing or the Dread Wolf thing

The third will be a regular sized DLC which will serve to set up material for future installments in the series, dealing with either the Dread Wolf thing, or possibly something more sinister, like the corruption or fall of the Inquisition.

For sequels, I'm hoping for some focus on any/all of the following:

Tevinter- It's been built up for a while. We should at least be able to visit a small portion of it.

Nevarra- I really really really want to go to Nevarra in the next game, mostly for the Mortalitasi and the Grand Necropolis stuff, but the political tensions there would provide an interesting plotline too.

Rivain- From what we've heard it sounds like such a cool place.

The Stone- We got a whole bunch of interesting info on Elven practices in this game, so why not look into the Dwarves at some point.

The Qunari- They're still out there...

The Dread Wolf/Mythal stuff- Seriously, this sh** has to get dealt with at some point

I hope DLC wise, we get a loot crate so we can dump loot without having to sell it to make room. And the crate is left at the camp, so we don't have to go to Skyhold or nearby town to both sell and evaluate at the same time. I also want faster mounts, since the current ones are too slow (though a patch could fix that).

Also, allow me to not wear pajamas as my Skyhold costume. I hate that casual suit.

And if any DLC contains similar open areas, please put in less fetch quests, and create more story missions.

Frankly, I hope that we get a post-game DLC that deals with that little bombshell after the credits are done rolling.  A sequel is just as likely at this point, but I really don't want to wait years to see that scene expanded on.  And I don't want it in a book either!

DLC? I see at least one new area that you open with power but not until after you get Skyhold. "Middle" has a considerably lower barrier to entry than "end" does.

Beyond? Think of the big questions. What happened to all the old gods? Why do they think it's safe to come out of the woodwork now? What happens to them if they're wrong? What happens to the people if they're wrong? What happens to the people if they aren't wrong?
