I was halfway through a large dungeon quest with no healing potions left and no way to proceed, so I retraced my footsteps, found the nearest camp, and returned not expecting to have to start all over again. Even the leader I had just killed alive and well again!

I have been loving this game, but this is NOT GOOD, and now I can see the MMORG elements creeping in. What do I do then? I can't heal, I can't proceed, and I don't fancy spending another hour redoing the stuff I've already done only to find I'm out of healing potions again.

Please bring back magic healing and bandaging or at least healing locations in dungeons! This is a potential game breaker for me. I don't want to get half way through a huge interior only to find I can't complete it. I'm no fan of respawning at the best of times, but this is ridiculous.

Someone please tell me I'm overlooking something?

You are correct the mobs do respawn, but they have to respawn since alot of quests require items that only dead npc's can drop. I was killing bears yesterday for a quest, then when I was done, I see right infront of me 3 bears respawn into the map. This happend in the open-world map.

In dungeons I have seen some mobs respawn, but never have I seen any boss respawn. Maybe they made it so you can grind the leader for loot?

BTW: I know what happend to healing spells, but what happend to HP regen out of combat?

EDIT: If you have no more potions left and you are still in one dungeon, then maybe this is a sign that your characters are a little to weak to do this dungeon. I would level a bit or equip better gear and come back to the dungeon.

In larger dungeons are supply caches, which fully refill your potions.

Apart from that, it never happened to me that the elite enemy would respawn. One time a despair demon respawned when I returned to the area, but without any corpses supporting it previously. Must be a semi-random thing.

Spoiler alert

I'm in that dwarven outpost in the hinterlands where there is a transport going on.

I agree with Laerune though, HP should at least regenerate over time.

I'm round about level 6. Is that too low? If I come back later they won't level up as well will they?

From what i've read, there is no scaling up for MOBs.  Tey will be the same level they are now no matter how high you go.(but I could be wrong)
