Make it so that we have to apply Inquisition Perks after selecting them (like we do when levelling up abilities). Currently the Perks are locked in permanently as soon as you select them.

Include idle animations for all NPCs. Some of them have no animations whatsoever, they stand there completely motionless like statues. I'm not asking for NPCs to walk around, just have them move their arms a bit.

I agree with a fair amount of the OT, but otherwise the game is great.

Am I the only one who would desperately like some eyebrows for males (I don't know about females, I've only made males) that don't look absolutely ridiculous/huge/like someone tried to come them backwards? Because, seriously, there are about 2 sets of acceptable eyebrows and all the rest just look awful to me.

Also:

An undo button for when you make mistakes in the star line connecting minigame thing (Astro-something...). I have serious troubles with short term memory, so having to hit that 'restart' button is a headache and a half. Usually I spend another three or four tries trying to figure out the start of the puzzle all over again.

1. Environment influence combat. Like electric spells intensify when target under water or it travels throughout the body of water, rain reduce fire damage or make foe immune to panic.

2. Ability to pause cutscene. Yeah.. I would love to be able to pause cutscene..

3. Organic beards. Yeah that's right. Beards that actually spawn from the jaw rather than floats around it. Maybe a goatee or braided goatee.

4. More hair.. And slider to adjust the length..

5. Skyhold attires.

6. The starting armors always bother me in DA series.. For example Trevelyan nobles.. Shouldn't they have more regal armor? Like the Cousland warden in Origin.. Why would they wear a dirty old armor when they are in their own castle. A mods fixed that by giving them noble clothing during the first cutscene with Bryce, Howe and Duncan and a shiny armor when battling. I wish for the starting armors in Inquisition or upcoming game to be more diverse according to race and class.

7. I forgot. Blacker hair color.

Deplore that females have to wear some Disney Prince Charming rip off outfit during the ball quest. At least add an option to choose to wear something feminine and more suitable for female Orlesian fashion. Vivian mentioned casually having the Inquisitor meet her seamstress. Please, Vivian looks FANTASTIC. Female Inquisitors end up looking frumpy next to her....

Cut options on armors would be great for the Inquisitor. This way we have a choice as to how we choose to present our Inquisitor, for those that prefer utilitarian, and those (like me), that prefer form over function.

Search ping while mounted. I actually wish they'd do away with pinging entirely and simply make nodes more visible. Sparkles anyone?

When the mini-map pulses it appears as if the quest has to be active for the focus item to appear. This may have been my imagination while incredibly frustrated with pinging at three in the morning, but we at least should be able to set more than one active quest.

It isn't that the females are ugly, it's that they walk like baboons standing upright.

Key binds for everything! Especially the click/scroll wheel.

Option to remove left mouse button attack. I'm constantly killing innocent foxes by instinctively using the LMB as a camera/movement control as many other games do.

Bisexual Leliana romance. Of all the women to leave off the incredibly limited romance list they chose the most attractive woman in the game.

Option to lock the mini-map to cardinal north.

Platform: PC

I don't know if already mentioned but the search function glow should change to a different color, the orange it is now isn't very visible in most locations, and blends in completely with the terrain in the west approach so that it is basically invisible, maybe a bright blue or other brighter color, maybe allow custom color of your choosing from a color wheel or just some choices of color that are more visible

plenty of bugs on the PS4 version.  Bioware could fix those but to be fair i'm nitpicking.

Great Game.  Much better than the second dragon age.

in the map, being able to see what an area is named and where other areas start and end would be nice, especially since some quests ( specialization quests for example) ask you to search in specific areas of a map for things with no quest markers and only the area name to go on.

DAO and DA2 both had an unleveled loot system, which unlike DAI, actually rewarded the player for successfully taking on challenging fights. Players are actually penalized in DAI for killing higher level enemies, as it often just leads to a cluttered inventory until the items are actually equipable.

  • Remove level restrictions from all items. Players should not be penalized by finding really shiny stuff.
  • Remove the level scaling of enemies. Players should not be penalized by being completionists.
  • Make respawn times on the meaningless "trash" mobs much longer. I don't want to feel like I'm just doing pest control every time I wander around a zone.
  • Add more interesting encounters. Killing random packs of 3-5 bandits/templars/mages/dogs/mudcrabs/daleks/etc. is just tedium. The story quests and dragons are about the only interesting encounters to be had.
  • Give us back our attribute allocation. Min/Maxers of Thedas Unite!

Addendum, as I have thought of a couple more changes which would be most welcome:

  • Let each party member have their own unique stock of health potions. They don't seem to share their tonics, grenades, or even other types of potions. They shouldn't share health potions either.
  • Let the Inquisition perks which increase Experience gains from Codex entry unlocks apply retroactively. The research perk applies retroactively, so this should as well. The perks are somewhat lackluster as it is, as they don't increase combat effectiveness, nor give access to more crafting components, so they are already weaker than most of their alternatives, as the dialogue options are infrequent. This additionally penalizes players who do want those perks, and obsessively read everything, as they lose out on quite a lot of experience if they unlock Codex entries prior to taking those perks.

4: Add official new affordable free DLC package that newly features several various new hairstyles and additonal new hair colors

Fixed that to be reasonable...

Don t know if already asked but:

Please don t recycle Mas Effect hairs.

They were already quite trivial, and for sure they are better suited for a sci-fi game.

Many independent games and modders proved, that designing nice hairs even with a deep character editor is not that hard.

But even DA2 had better :(

Also on PC let us reedit our character once the game is started.

I'd like an option to view quest objectives and rewards from operations on the wartable, so I won't have to leave the wartable every time I need to see said objectives and rewards.

And the entire ui for pc needs a major overhaul. The layout and color palette is just dull and cumbersome. The party selection screen is particularly annoying to use.

@ abearzi

Good points. As for mob respawn, 100% agree. I would even argue that respawning should be disabled, at least for the lowest difficulty setting. I started playing on "medium" and wanted to see "where do I go from here", but quickly I set the game to "easy". Not because the combat was difficult, but because it was annoying. The reaction to meeting enemies should be: "Yea, bring it on!", unfortunetly for me it is: "Oh for f***s sake, not again..."

Pest control is a good term here.

For PC controls I only want 2 things, which will should (hopefully) not involve TOO much work.  1) Allow mouse buttons to be bound (the fact that this does not exist is driving me crazy) and 2) Have alternative key set for each action

Clean up balance (Why is there a level 20 rift in Emerald Graves when the dragon there is level 17?), go over all specialization for balance purposes, some are awfully underwhelming, whereas others are borderline overpowered.

Add some sort of guide to level of areas.  As in clicking the area from war table should say 'levels 13-17' or something.  Won't be a huge issue in successive replays, but having 5 or 6 areas open up after obtaining Skyhold and having to poke each one to check starting creature level was unnecessary.

Give some alternative uses to Power other than the war table.  I am sitting on piles of this stuff.  Fairly certain most players who are exploring and doing quests will be.  Not certain what though.  Some schematics perhaps?  Or amulets of power for large quantities?  Can't hand our resources as they can be turned back into power using requisitions.

Combat:

When in tactical cam, don't center the cam on the partymember if you select them, you'll need to move the camera again to your enemie(s), very annoying!

Ok so I knew it would happen at some point because internet :P but please refrain from posting things that are mostly irrelevant. It is great that we all share our opinions and what we would like to see included at some point in the future, but please take the time to read the initial post before posting something that is already there or has already been said multiple times. I'm talking above all about bugs or glitches. We are all aware ALL VERSIONS of the game have problems, not only the one YOU are playing, and Bioware is well aware too. And this thread is about suggesting improvements on a practical level, not really about fixing functions that don't work like you would like them to. This is with the exception of functions that do not work AS INTENDED (Like AI). I will still include stuff like it even though every single DA:I player knows it has to be added. Some functions work as intended and some people dislike them, so in that case, suggest a way to make that action/design less tedious.

Also, please refrain of saying things like "How come THIS hasn't been added/fixed yet!? It's easy to do!" because chances are, you're not working for the gaming industry and talking to people who "claim to know how it works" is not necessarily a valid point as making a game and fixing stuff can be VERY complicated as games are becoming more and more complex on a technical level, and also nobody wants to work for free so it takes time and money to fix stuff. Finally, if you want to really rant, please make another thread to do so. :P

So far the list is getting pretty big, i'll try to rearrange it at some point but please people, keep it up! Let your voice be heard so when they eventually fix stuff we might see our wishes come true! :o

The diluted tactics system needs to be revamped into what it was like in the previous games. In its current state, the tactics system is utterly useless. It has been replaced with an artificial intelligence that is more artificial than intelligent.

3: Add full frontal Nudity such as full body, breasts, nipples, buttocks, penis and female vagina ( hairy and shaven ) somehow please,

This... Why when I remove any armor from my character she/he always have full cloth on? In older games they wear underwear at least or were shirtless.. Especially if game can't be modded  :o

This game is +17/+18 but I can't see why. blood? Please..

Oh,

Just remembered one other thing. Minor and not really important, but cool and adding the feeling of actually being in control of the character:

Being able to manually draw / sheath a weapon.

Hi all!

First i apologize if my english is bad.

At this moment i think than DA:I could have been a great great game. It is not, but with the correct improvements he will hust be awesome.

I agree with almost everything you say but there is something more in my opinion:

-When you move the cursor in tactical mode you are considered like an object... you can not pass throught the ice wall, you have to follow the road to aim somebody lower than you...

If you could select ennemies by clcking and zoom out the camera, DAI would gain in immersion and would be 10 times a greater game.

Hope good patches incoming

1. More romance options for males, especially female LI (know this won't happen, short of paid dlc)

2. Interactables shown on radar when using search(loot/crafting items, ladders, etc)

3. Ability to quickly switch through ability trees or characters without having to constantly go back and forth(also on the equipment screen, not seperating weapons, armor, and accessories so we have to go back and forth)

4. An actual Inventory screen(not just an equipment screen)

5. Add more function to the enemy research table, so you can actually see the progress your making(I didn't even bother checking my codec for a long while before seeing I actually was making progress.

STORAGE CHESTS!!!!

It's stupidly bizarre there aren't any. They looked at Skyrim just for the open areas? There are storage and display platforms there for a very good reason.
