I miss a clear mini-map. It wold really help to see the terrain it self in the minimap. It will help loads with exploring.

Well and if we can't have this I'd like to have a one clikc to the map option instead of going to the menu and then pulling up the map. So often just trying to find that one route around the cliffs can be frustrating and having to click around so much to see the map gets old.

Very simple. VERY big deal. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! Give us a DLC for romantic-feminine style & sexy armors for all female inquisitors. (And male version counterparts just as awesome, of course, but not my point.)

This way, those of us who have been starving for this and patiently waiting, can have it -- but feminists and those who like to play as rough brutish female heroes don't have to have it in their game.

There is no end to what I would pay for this DLC, because not having it nearly ruins the game for me! I can't play as the characters I imagine and want to play as. Why is it so impossible to have at least just a couple female robes/armor that ARE feminine? I love Vivienne's robes, so why can't the inquisitor even wear them? Or at least something just as sexy and ornate? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!

I feel a little insulted. Ok, a lot more than a little insulted, very, very, very, etc. It's like saying, if a woman wants to be a hero or look fierce, she has to dress like a man. Wait. What? Is that what you really think? I disagree.

I love this game and appreciate it so much! But I feel left out and frustrated. Couldn't you please release an Orlaisian Armor pack? And take extra special care to make the female options fitted and sexy? Or even give them a 'romantic' touch? I'm sure lots of the men would like fancy, SEXY armor/clothes for their male inquisitors too! In fact I know their are, I hear of it all the time.

Us romantic, medieval-, fairy-tale-, elven- loving girls, gals, and women really, really love our corsets, skirts, and off-the-shoulder armor and robes. So please don't leave us out anymore! I WANT my characters to look sexy and beautiful when I'm obliterating thugs & demons in Thedas! If I can't, it takes at least half the fun of the game away. I can't immerse myself.

Examples of good female armor/outfits: DAO's Tevinter Robes, Wedding Dress,& the concept art Circle Robes and elven version of the Circle Robes; Fable 2's Queen outfit only; and Skyrim's Vampire Armor (Dawnguard dlc)

AND OF COURSE VIVIENNE'S AWESOME OUTFIT!

So I'm wondering, why is it my companions in DA2 & DAI get to show off their cleavage, but I the player do not? Shouldn't the protagonist at least have the OPTION to be the most resplendent - and FEMININE - character in the whole game?

The "spawn" location in Haven is terrible! Most of the time I travel there, it's to manage the war table missions and the repeatables- I am sick of doing the run from the gates to the Council chamber.

Make the requisition officer a merchant in camps for selling junk so I don't have to run to a city in the middle of working through a zone. It breaks the "flow" when I'm  in the middle of exploration and have to run to town to unload inventory. I'm almost to the point where I'm going to only take blues/purples, but until then, it really takes you out of the game to go back and forth.

The War Room missions are begging for a smartphone app that allows us to manage that part of the game without logging in on a PC or console. I know that's a lot to code/coordinate, but how great would it be to be able to play this part of the game on your phone/tablet when not at home?!

It's 2014- I think most games should incorporate smartphones in some supplemental manner.

My main thing I want to see is a Combat and Quest Queue - Since Bioware removed a complex tactics system (which is okay) because they added a tactics screen during combat - Well, they missed the most important part of adding a combat queue - I want to be able to tell my char to drop static cage then cast chain lightning - then cast stonefist - why not? That same queue would have been done with the DA2 tactics system

Same concept with quests - I saw that people want the option to track multiple quests - I fully agree with that and want that 100%, but if bioware could add to that (or in place of if they dont want it) Just make a quest queue - Make it so when I complete one quest point the next comes up

To clarify, Im not talking about FULL quests - Im talking about if I want to place a marker on one shard, I dont want to have to open the map to select the next shard, I want a marker to pick the next one in line for me

One thing that would be good would be to add the salvage from the multiplayer to the regular game. I would replace the destroy with salvage.

I'd love to be able to apply filters to the search pings so I can tell it not to bother me with certain things depending on why I'm in that area and what I'm looking for.  Sometimes I don't want to be bothered with elfroot and iron since I'm looking for a pesky quest item, or just for loot -- but sometimes I do want crafting resources, so the idea of making it a toggle.  And I don't think I've ever gotten a ping back from a ladder and not been annoyed that it could be hiding other things that I'm actually interested in picking up.

And maybe it's just me, but I can't count how many times I've been trekking across the landscape and accidentally hit the attack button because I was left-clicking on something else.  This causes everyone to go into combat mode and slow things down until they realize it was only a mis-click and resume travelling at a normal speed.  This could be worse for me because I have a trackpad where sometimes hitting the pad will trigger a left-click when all I was doing was adjusting the mouse cursor.  But it would be nice if this could be handled a little more intelligently?

I like this thread. Ok here goes my simple improvement feedback. I did not see this in your loot/Items section. I hope I am not repeating.

Speaking from Xbox One version.

LOOT COMPARISON:
When evaluating loot. (Before you pick it up) Ability to press x button and compare with your current weapons/accessories. Also, while in this comparison mode, allow us to use up & down on the dpad to scroll through the current party and compare the evaluated loot with theirs.

WHY THIS HELPS:
Too many times I find myself either close to carry capacity or picking up way too much stuff that is not valuable enough even for sale.

If I had a direct comparison, I can better discern if I should take it with me to equip it on another party member that has a similar build to a member within the current party.

Overall I feel this helps a lot with the decision making of loot gathering and the influences involved.

I'm going to post some rational feedback for the team and I welcome others to do the same.  I'm not interested in hearing about how "Bioware is dead!", how much they hate the PC community or the fact that you want a refund.  There are many other threads for that stuff, have fun in those.

PC controls - they can't fix everything in a patch so heres what I think can be realistically accomplished

- auto attack toggle

- Fix the weird selection system or let people rebind mouse buttons

- Tactical camera should be mouse controlled

- Click to move toward object

- Right click and hold should move the camera, this control should be separate from attack to prevent inadvertent whiffing

AI issues - the AI is...not great and with the neutered scripting options its all the more glaring

- AI sits in hostile AOEs.  They moved out of the way in DA:O, I replayed it recently.  Can't remember DA2.

- AI prioritization needs to be re-examined

- Auto teleport to PC even with Hold Position

- Commands being overridden, seemingly without reason

General quality of life

- Search ping really should be a toggle, even the console players don't love this mechanic and it seems out of place in the world

- In absence of the above, at least put search results on the underused minimap

- There is way too much gathering.  I suggest upping the volume gathered per node and lessen the density

- Mount speed needs to be increased, its not fast enough to make up for the lack of party banter, search ping and encountering other things you can interact with in the world.  There are too many reasons not to use a mount and very few reasons to bother.

- Please remove the silly wind graphic on the mount, it looks really out of place

Voice acting

- The Iron Bull VA is really jarring and takes you out of the game.  Seems out of place for both the world and the race/visual look of the character.  This is actually one of my biggest disappointments because its the only NPC Reaver option.  The quality of the IB VA is not up to snuff with the rest of the cast.  For example I don't personally like Sera as a character but I can respect the VA did a great job with it.  Iron Bull is just bad and inconsistent.  Sometimes he sounds like a regular human, other times it sounds like someone trying to speak with a sock in their mouth.  FP did a great job with ME3 but let's not just insert him in every game please.

General commentary

I doubt the AI problems can be fixed up so that is more for future games.  You can have mediocre AI with heavily customizable user scripting.  You can have great AI with very little user scripting.  You can't have both mediocre AI and a lack of user scripting, it doesn't make for a pleasant experience.  It works well against regular mobs but the player ends up frustrated at anything challenging.

Trying to kill a dragon has been an exercise in frustration.  The fight itself is only moderately challenging, the real enemy I have been facing is the combination of the control problems and the AI.  I don't mind changing things around on the fly but the adjustments I do make in tactical mode often don't seem to take properly or the AI just bungles them a few seconds later.  It is quite aggravating.

I don't mind the user interface that much, yeah its inefficient but obviously its unified for multiplat releases so whatever, thats a minor thing.

Ok wow that was longer than I thought.  I welcome others feedback and input.

Hey guys! Just wanna say thanks for including co-op play. I am having a blast playing it.

But keep the updates coming!!

- 3 maps, even randomly generated, are too few.

- Also, it should have 4 different playable characters on the fly, since it is 4 players co-op.

- Make the camera closer, as in single-player

- More customization: people playing the same character will take way too long to look different from each other, cause making or getting armor is hard

- Changing armor in the same character is very simple and the only thing that changes is the color. Come on! There are so many nice armors in single player, so why on co-op they only change colors wheen you get a new one???

- More loot!

- Achievements

- Female characters pretty, please! They are all ugly as hell!

- Necromancer can´t summon undead... what kind os necromancer is that?

- Bug: vases broken using ranged attack may regenerate and the only way they can be broken again is using close combat.

Blizzard when patching Diablo 3, changed the way old spells looked by chaging animations and the spell itself, so I am sure you can also make a patch that could include pretty faces to female character and the armor thing I mentioned.

Bioware, while this game is awesome in single-player, a lot of people will keep coming for co-op (I´ve spent tons os hours on both), so we need our incentive to keep playing it. The way it looks right now, it feels a little rushed. It is awesome, but needs more content

Thanks!

So for me some interesting features could be:

Tactics management (like DAII);

Combat queue (just three actions for example not to use pause to much playing nightmare level);

Healing spells (Don't want to go to camp every two fightings using the fast travel so much, it breaks the action an it's annoying for me);

More slots or a ability wheel for skills/spells, I learned them so I WANT to use them!!!

Storage chest;

Dodging pressing twice the jump button for istance it's not so difficult and gives more action-feeling;

As you can see my list is based on gameplay because I like all the other aspects. In particular the presence of a crafting system and the free roaming element are a very good addition.

Great liste, hopefully the dev team will take some notes.

I've two sufggestions:

  1. Party banter should trigger more often
  2. Party banter should trigger while using a mount

God yes, this!

That was one of my favorite parts of DAO and DA2. When it does trigger in DAI, it is excellent, but its too few and far between.

Dodging pressing twice the jump button for istance it's not so difficult and gives more action-feeling;

Hmm, a dodging mechanic? For whom? Universal?

To be quite honest,
I prefer the Mage not get a dodge ability. There's a reason why other classes exist. Distinction must be maintained

Dodging is more for the rogue warrior classes whom already have that ability.

But, if such a thing were to miraculously make it, I'll entertain the discussion.

If you mean incorporating dodge for mages. I think it should be a side step that covers some distance - not a roll/dive dodge.

And also, this mechanic, as long as it has a cool down or some kind of management to prevent spamming - I'll welcome it. Hopping out of trouble all the time with no repercussions kills the tactics side of the game. Don't want a Rambo fest here. Not saying that's what you are suggesting.

Maybe whenever you use it, it pulls from your mana pool could help alleviate such things.

That said, mages whom do not have rogue/warrior hybrids going on - should not have this level of athleticism to where they are diving/rolling out of trouble.

A side step is more agreeable I feel, it keeps it respectable to the fantasy sim. Also, this side step should cover some reasonable ground but not at the level of the rogue/warrior class dodge/roll ability. As I mentioned in my opening paragraph, distinction of classes must be maintained, therefore, roll/dive naturally covers more ground than a sidestep.

How would you do this without sacrificing maneouvrability?

Apologies if this has already been mentioned:

Make it possible to increase the size of the text in menus etc. Much of the text for stuff like quest descriptions and menus is so tiny on our TV that we sometimes have to actually get up and move closer to the screen. This is a problem in multiple areas of the UI, and it's probably very easy to fix.

A new idea occurs to me, which I feel would help mitigate the emphasis on healing potions and other consumables;

  • Scatter more supply caches around the maps, in places where they would be appropriate (bandit camps, abandoned tents, mines).
  • Don't add them to places where it wouldn't make sense for other people to have left supplies (caves, darkspawn holes, etc.)
  • Allow Supply Caches to replenish all consumables for the party, not just healing potions. As is stands, the rogue trees which focus on grenades and poisons are useless, since these can only be replenished by returning to a camp, making those specs awful on long story missions when restocking at a camp is impossible.

I would like them to change (or allow us to choose) the color of the highlight around lootable objects. Right now it is a nice earthy orange/brown color that blends in perfectly well with the earthy orange/brown ground. Sometimes it is literally impossible to see the outlines. I would prefer a bluish or purple outline as there are less things in nature that it can blend in with.

I would really, really, REALLY like to be able to rename my saves.  Especially since this game is supposed to be so 'feedback' sensitive.  I would like to be able to try out different pathways without having to create a spreadsheet for sorting my saves.

Also, female character voice....  I think the female characters are all bipolar.  I picked the 'softer' voice.   It was great until the first time she screams out in battle "DIE!!!".   She turns into crazy, raging lady when she fights.  If I were one of her companions, I would quietly back away and then turn and run.

That's a fair point.  I'm not sure but the implementation right now where it feels more like an analog axis isn't very good.  I'm not sure if it's just me wanting it to be as close to Origins as possible but I've really tried my best to adjust and find it very cumbersome in DA:I.
