Hmm, a dodging mechanic? For whom? Universal?

To be quite honest,
I prefer the Mage not get a dodge ability. There's a reason why other classes exist. Distinction must be maintained

Dodging is more for the rogue warrior classes whom already have that ability.

But, if such a thing were to miraculously make it, I'll entertain the discussion.

If you mean incorporating dodge for mages. I think it should be a side step that covers some distance - not a roll/dive dodge.

And also, this mechanic, as long as it has a cool down or some kind of management to prevent spamming - I'll welcome it. Hopping out of trouble all the time with no repercussions kills the tactics side of the game. Don't want a Rambo fest here. Not saying that's what you are suggesting.

Maybe whenever you use it, it pulls from your mana pool could help alleviate such things.

That said, mages whom do not have rogue/warrior hybrids going on - should not have this level of athleticism to where they are diving/rolling out of trouble.

A side step is more agreeable I feel, it keeps it respectable to the fantasy sim. Also, this side step should cover some reasonable ground but not at the level of the rogue/warrior class dodge/roll ability. As I mentioned in my opening paragraph, distinction of classes must be maintained, therefore, roll/dive naturally covers more ground than a sidestep.

Not only for mages, I was thinking to a normal dodge movement and not to a proper skill, like in many other games (oblivion, kingdom of amalur, etc.)

I do not know if this has been said, but it can be added to the list.

1, Female hair styles. More of them, short, long and for females only. Make separate hairstyles for the males that will be for the males only.

2. Better lighting not only at character creation, but in the dungeons. Some of the dungeons are super dark with no lighting at all.

3. At least 4 chests in Skyhold for things one wants to keep. One for weapons, one for armor, one for items needed for schematics, and one for ingredients and potions.

4. Be able to switch weapons during combat.

5. Raise the cap on leveling. Instead of stopping at level 21-23, make it a little higher like 25-27.

6. When you use the search feature, pick a different color for items that show up. Instead of using yellow, use red or something so that items that the search shows will show up better.

There are already some established threads on this issue so I am going to merge this one.

1. Heavy armor with a higher metal to cloth ratio. The "heavy" armor isn't very heavy.

2. Add modding support so the talented modders could grant a few of our wishes.

How about another button to map a skill to on console's? lvl17 2H reaver and i'm already out of buttons to map skills to.

So I propose adding X PlayStation and A on Xbone but only when L2 is depressed. I mean we know that if the player is holding L2 then they are accessing skills and not trying to Jump!

Please, please, please make this happen.

Wow some people have improvements I didn't even know I wanted until they mentioned them! Everything here comes from a playthrough on the Xbox One. I'd like to see (in this game or future DLC):

  • More meaningful war room actions/reactions. My entire clan was wiped out as a Dalish after one of the missions and no one reacted at all. I felt like that should have been more impactful, even if someone just casually mentioned it when I walked by them in Skyhold, or one of the advisors said "I'm sorry" after it was completed.
  • Extended companion and romance interactions in any DLC - cutscenes not just dialogue please! Since we're singling out male inquisitiors for romance options can we also talk about out the comparatively short (but still awesome) Solas romance?
  • Better dialogue syncing. Most of the time it's OK but on a few occasions that characters' lips weren't moving with the voices at all.
  • Dialogue options that are more clear. Sometimes we get the emotion icons and sometimes we don't. There were many instances where my inquisitior came off as more jovial/aggressive/noble than I intended them to be because the dialogue wheel was unlcear.
  • And then to reiterate what others have said: more hair, character editor in-game, better lighting in CC (especially the second time it comes up), trophy room, real female animations during cutscenes, greater armor variety (even if it's just expanding to the armor worn by NPCs in-game), ability to rename saves, improved AI, fewer level restrictions

I'd like Stronghold customization re-added as what's that point of having a stronghold/keep if you can't pick the type the the following ie Espionage, Commerce or Military

they said that was what you had the keeps for they said you can pick which department you want to devote resources to like if you want a military inquisition ect. And that is not present in the game i have played so far.

I have a few suggestions after a good many hours of playing:

  1. tac cam map two keys for pitch up down arrow keys would be good for this
  2. tac cam have the target not snap to each character I selection
  3. map two keys to navigate in both directions in inventory menus ie: weapons the ability with keyboard shortcuts to look specifically at daggers and then back to say two handed weapons right left arrow keys would be good for this
  4. add keyboard functionality during crafting for confirmation, at present during crafting I can the up,down, right, left and enter keys all function to add and change slots but not at the end when it comes to confirming . I still have to use the mouse for that.
  5. add keyboard functionality for when I'm back in town to switch characters while perusing the inventory screen
  6. better loot, I just finished a particularly hard rift inside a cave that had a chest in it with a couple of white items. I'm finding that a lot. This is an "actiony" rpg so some good drops would be in order
  7. Overall I enjoy the game so far, level 12 at present, I just don't like having to switch back and forth from mouse to keyboard while in menus, clean that up a bit and the experience will improve.

Its also very tedious trying to improve skyhold and i finally crafted improve tower and i saw no improvements. A special interface for skyhold would be appreciated and maybe we can sit on the throne. I say that because walking to the lower part of skyhold and load then putting the improvements in and loading to see what happened is annoying.

So many suggestions... while all good, they are too many. Need Bioware to just focus on a few.

In any case, for me, all I need is:

-Better tactical view (ability to zoom out to DA:O levels and same controls)

-DA:O style Auto-attack

Just getting those two would make me infinitely happier. I can live with the crap AI and lack of companion behavior options because i would just disable all the behaviors and play the game from mostly the tactics view like I did in DA:O. Even under-powered DW rogues would not be an issue since again, I would mostly play in tactics view where the DW Rogue best shines.

PLEASE fix the PC mouse/keyboard controls and tactical camera first!

I didn't request a refund, though I must admit to being very disappointed. After this let down, I can honestly say I will not be pre-ordering the next Mass Effect game, as excited for that as I was for DA:I.

But, ultimately, I have faith in BioWare.. please, don't let me down.

Also, I've gotta comment on the submarine sonar spam used for picking up the ten billion elfroots everywhere.. I can deal with the sheer quantity of stuff, but I'd suggest a toggle that highlights the objects far better than they are currently.

I was feeling a bit of nostalgia for the old Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter Nights options for adding your own Map notations.  It's REALLY helpful when trying to figure out what you're in the middle of in terms of quests, or figuring out whose bedroom in Skyhold is whom's (so easily confusing and very awkward when tiptoe-ing from midnight assignations).  Any chance we can get the option to add custom map notes?

I speak strictly coming from PS4, so not sure if this issue is true for PC's.  But I NEED more then 40 save slots.  Granted I'm an obsessive saver, but 40 total save slots for all characters is killing me.

  • FIX THOSE BUGS !!!! Probably the most important
  • I'd also love to have race specific armor (e.g. Arishok-like armor for Qunari, Dalish armor for Elves etc.)
  • More Hairstyes (especially Qunari)
  • Something like Black Emporium DLC, where I can change my look
  • A box in Skyhold where I can stash my Items.

I have real difficulty reading the text on many of the interfaces in the game because the text is too small (it is not a user fault lol, I can see perfectly well) . If Bioware could increase the size of text in the game ever so slightly (especially for Console gamers) that would go a long way toward my QoL

There is a bug I discovered where in Crestwood I tried to begin a side quest by talking to a man in his house near the gate, the game crashed to the home screen. I re-loaded but then I was unable to finish the "Still Waters" Quest because the demons in front of the gate were no longer treated as enemies, but for some reason the game thought they were just normal NPC's and wouldn't let me continue the quest because I could not kill them.

Not game breaking but still a relatively large bug. It happened to me on Xbox One, in case that helps.

Suggestion: More combat animations; The dual-wielding rogue kind of just sits there and constantly stabs things, it gets a little boring to see over and over again. The other classes aren't nearly as limited with battle animations as the dual-wielding rogue is so I think more animations should be added for that.

There's plenty of racial-specific armor. Granted, it's all Human-only, because Bioware didn't want to bother adapting the DA2 armor meshes for the other races.

I've seen some Elf-only attire here and there, and there's at least one Dwarf-only attire.

I also, in an add-on to my post #127, is when one saves a game, have a picture that relates to the character instead of a generic picture, so that if one decided to backtrack, then one would know which game to go to, like in DA:Origins and DA:2. The same picture for several saves makes it hard to figure out which one to back up to if one so desired.

Add a "Loot All" button when looting.

There already is a "loot all" button. Simply press the spacebar after opening a loot container. What's really needed is a toggleable "autoloot" option in the game's gameplay options screen, so that right-clicking on a loot bag/chest will automatically move the items to the player's inventory without even showing the bag contents on-screen.
