For me, in addition to the list of request of improvement for the tactical camera, the search ping should be usable in tactical camera otherwise it won't be really usable during exploration (which would be essential if they aren't adding the click to move and auto-attack to the action camera).

PS: I don't have the game yet but I’ve got this piece of information from the following video:

And I am surprised that it wasn't already in the list.

1. Let us pick from an array of casual clothing or just wear our custom armor while in non-combat areas like Skyhold.

2. Fix the male elf bodies. Solas' build is ideal. Unsure why we didn't get his shoulders, arms, and chest. If possible, many would love to just be able to customize the whole body, within reason. A selection of presets could be an option.

3. Return the option to adjust neck thickness in CC. Male humans mostly came across as beefy action heroes. This didn't fit the human mage image.

4. The Qunari need more hairstyles. And they need the horns not to be limited to particular styles.

5. Storage chest is needed if you insist on this much crafting, exploration, and random loot.

6. I'd suggest we eliminate the fetchy companion quests. Instead, make it a quest in which the companion is locked onto you should you venture to a particular region, and include a good amount of dialogue and cut scenes throughout that quest. There were some quests kinda like this, but there were a lot of fetch quests that companions didn't need to be there for. Those weren't very enjoyable.

7. Bring back some way to gauge how much a companion likes or dislikes you. Often times players choose to shape the game around who is friend and who is foe. It doesn't have to be numbers. Just a status (e.g. "Solas is not your friend.") I don't know what some of my companions feel about my inquisitor because I cant memorize the fleeting approval notifications.

I don't see a way to use more than 8 abilities. Back in the day (DA:O and DA2) abilities that weren't mapped could be used in the radial menu. I don't see that as a choice anymore. That should come back, or it should be more obvious if there's another way to do it. I have more than 8 abilities at the moment, and I don't like having to ignore some of my skills in combat.

If they bring back weapon switching, it should also swap out the ability map like it did in DA:O. The right/left D-pad controls for PS3 (and probably XBox, too) would be perfect to switch weapon sets.

CONTROLLER SCHEMES:

If you use LT/RT as toggles, you can use X/Y/B and the digital pad UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT and have the potential to have 21 hot keys for abilities/items for all versions. Even if you just use LT, as long as you allow the digital pad for hotkeys, that opens up another 8. That doesn't even take into consideration diagonals (which I personally prefer not to use.)

With Xpadder for the PC version of DA:O, I also use a trigger toggle to change LB/RB to go to/leave tactics mode while the right pad becomes my mouse.

--------------------------

SUBTITLES/TEXT

(First of all, I've basically been told I'm getting the 360 version for Christmas, so I'm in the dark till then when I say this. I can only go by what I've tried to look up.)

Apparently text/subtitles size is worse than ever in terms of being too small. For pete's sake, give us the option to have a large enough font so we can actually read it. Why is just about every company being stupid idiots when it comes to font size? (See Murdered Soul Suspect for 360. This has really got me on the rampage right now. The story's supposed to be important and I can't read a dang subtitle. The other font is bad enough.) It was perfect 5+ years ago. Now they just assume we all have 60" HDTV's, or we play on a screen a couple of feet from our face.

Either that, or pay my child support for a couple of months so I can buy a 60" HDTV so I can read the unneccesarily stupid little fonts.

I'd like to request the following (and i rly hope i'm not alone with that)

System: PC

- Add a LOCK to the Skillbar or make it so that Skills can't be moved from the Skillbar while fighting

- A bigger or at least adjustable Mousecursor (So often in fights i simply can't see my cursor anymore)(another Option would be to color the cursor in Red for example for better visibilty)

Thx for reading and perhaps adding this to the "wishlist".

One of the things I really kinda wish is that I had an option where the tactical camera didn't automatically snap to whichever character I switch to.  More often than not, when I am using tactical camera I'm trying to control a particular area, or target a particular enemy or set of enemies, and my ranged characters are a long way from that figure.  I could see this being fixed by being able to push the camera further out (giving us a wider view of the battlefield), but for me, just a toggle in options where it didn't have that snapping feature would make me SOOO happy, and doesn't seem like it would be as difficult of a fix to do (not that I really know).

Another option I would consider is making it so that if I have my cursor (whether on PC or on one of the consoles) on an enemy, then it shouldn't snap, whereas if I have that cursor just on the ground, it would snap.  That would give me the ability to control the camera shifts a bit.

I just really hate having to scroll the tactical camera every time it snaps to one of my ranged users on the edge of combat.  It slows everything down by like ten times (and is the main reason I avoid that camera except in VERY close quarters combat).  I've tried the camera both on PC and on Xbox One (my roommate has the Xbone) and it annoys me on both.

Oh, and by the way, I'm loving the game, just wish certain things were less annoying to do.

Edit: One last idea on how to adjust this, make it so that you have a command that switches characters without automatically scrolling the cursor to them.  On Xbox One this could be the left and right on the D-pad (currently not being used, and would make sense considering up and down already are a change character function).  On the PC, well, there are lots of buttons available on the PC.

Rise of the Resolutionists (DLC), perhaps you also find and eliminate Anders (if he is still alive in you're world state)

and adds depth to a group which has not at all been mentioned since DA2 despite a Mage-Templar War.

One other little issue.  Sometimes its difficult to remember which upgrades go with which pieces of equipment.  If the upgrades just mentioned what weapon they were associated with when crafting, it would make crafting a slight bit less frustrating (unless I'm just missing this somewhere).

How do you not have these 2 items in this list:

- natively re-mappable mouse buttons, both LMB and RMB, as well as 3rd, 4th, and scroll buttons.

- LMB+RMB = run forward.

Well, if avoid telling about needed bugfix and performance optimization, then my only desire is Blood Mage specialization. Dragon Age without available Blood Mage specialization is like Dragon Age without dragons.

Fix the damn jump action, it is crap. You have to spam the jump button just to make it up a slope sometimes. Maybe add an ability to 'grab' and pull yourself up.

If I break down anything but a common weapon or armour etc, I'd like to get either mats or coin back for it. Nut just destroy it.

Loving the game, but a few small tweaks would make the war table so much better. I wish it were easier to visually tell which missions have been completed or not. It's to the point where I don't want to read through them all when making decisions, because the "new mission" star disappears and they look the same as all the old completed ones. Please consider adding a way to sort them, or maybe hide the completed missions or something. Or maybe just leave the star icon until they are actually completed.

Closer zoom would be helpful as well. All those black icons on dark backgrounds get hard to keep track of, especially later on when some of the icons get clustered together.

I'm really, really glad they got rid of it. It made no sense, particularly in DA2, where blood magic was rampant and was the source of the Mage/Templar conflict in Kirkwall. In DAI, where people actually note and comment on your specializations, it would be even worse.

The only way it would be able to be shoe-horned into the game as a spec that made any sense would be for your companions to literally attack you the first time they noticed you casting blood magic. Vivienne, Leliana, Cassandra, Cullen, Iron Bull, Sera, Varric, Cole and (probably) Solas would absolutely not tolerate the Inquisitor using blood magic. Dorian might, even though he is strongly opposed to it in his homeland, he might be willing to let it slide since you're trying to save the world. I'm not sure about Blackwall, but since he's a warden, he might let it slide

Spoiler

Bring back weapon switching from Dragon Age 1. This would help when going up against enemies that have specific resistances to certain elements and would allow mages to switch from a fire staff to a Ice Staff or a Lightning Staff.

Bring back Stat customization from the previous two games to allow us to customize our characters even more. Just making it auto level and only allowing us to pick what skills we want from the various skill trees makes little sense. The game can still have the auto level option like in the previous two games but this would be nice.

Fix the female walking animation in cut scenes. It is jarring to see a female walking like a woman in regular walking around but when a cutscene comes up the female walks like a man and sits like a man with her legs spread open instead of closed at the knees.

Facial customization. Every single mouth in the facial customization screen has a permanent frown on the face. The corners of the lips are always downturned. Allow us to actually adust the lips to be smiling if we want them to because the lips being downturned makes the characters look dour and angry most of the time.

These are a few improvements my girlfriend and I could see being implemented.

- Fix the broken elf model (specially on male elves).

- Give me back my precious healers.

- Allow me to wear armor in Skyhold (instead of the pj/long underwear outfit).

- Storage chest. (i'm tired of holding on to the awesome dagger, waiting for Cole to join :P)

- Give us race specific casual outfits (I mean really? Qunari and Dalish do not fit in the current outfit. Heck, you wouldn't know my elf was Dalish if not for the face tattoos. <_< )

Fix the search function. When searching in the field for treasure and crafting materials it's very hard to locate them. All they currently get is a slight orange outline and about half the time it is difficult to spot them. Make them glow like treasure and items did in Dragon Age 1 and 2. Or if that is not possible then have the items pop up on the mini map so that it makes it easier to locate.

My girlfriend and I usually spend about five or more minutes trying to track down the crafting item or treasure because they are so hard to find currently.

I think making them as blips of the mini-map would be awesome. Then I at least know what general direction to look in.

Sucks to when you are looking for treasure and its just herbs when you finally locate what's pinging.

Why isn't NPC/Companion interaction the way it was in past BioWare games?  The 3rd person zoom where you can barely see faces makes for dull and uninteresting interaction.

To answer your question Brogan, and other people's too, the reason I "don't put" these great ideas on the list is because they already are in one way or another. So yeah, read the list before saying something is not there please. The list is made so it's mainly one line per thing. I don't go too deep on each point because it would become a mess. So i'm sure when you read :

  • Improve inventory management and control mapping for all platforms. (adding D-Pad control for example)

You can guess it means we all want the option to add control mapping! Thank you all for participating and giving your feedback! :)

Can I vote to never see multiplayer ever again? So much content was cut from the main part of the game. I can't help but imagine we might have a better final boss battle if it wasn't for the multiplayer. Just give us more it's not enough. Overall still great game. 9/10. Loved it but I need more. I thought this game was going to be game of the century when I saw the skyhold scene and then afterwards I realized. No to much was cut. I expected it, but never saw it......
