You can complete Skyrim main quest in five hours. I guess Skyrim is a five hours game. By skipping all dialogue you can also drop this by a few hours.

Bethesda why you created such a short game.

??? i cannot understand your point............... IN Skyrim Alduin represent the main quest but he is nothing, in Skyrim for my point of view there isn't a Main quest, there isn't a story to tell, and everyone in the elder scrools series dont give a f..... of what your main character is.Dragon age is completly different (WArden, Inquisitor,Champion) the main quest is supposed to be everything, as i said i see skyrim as sort of medieval GTA, there is no main quest, but there are only interesting things to do in the massive open world.-

I find great fault with the logic of this thread and argument across the board.

How do you do a "fast" run through a game and complain that it is short?

I'm literally stuck right there and cannot get any further to discuss any of the more minute details of the argument, because the very ground the argument stands on is severely flawed...

Fast run through.... "DARN IT THE GAME IS SHORT!!!"   0_0 ... 0_0 .... ummm.... 0_0

Everything is related to the mainquest in Dragon Age Inquisition. Every side quest give you power and influence. You don't really need to do it, but you can roleplay that your inquisition does( When you play the game on harder difficulties you definitely need it). I don't  agree with Skyrim. You're the Dragonborn each time you start a new game. Running around and saving a farmer pigs is not what the Dragonborn should do or even joining the thieves guild. But you do it regardless. Because Skyrim is more than just killing Alduin.

Just like Dragon age is more than just completing the main quest. You have 10 fully voiced character and a huge keep to upgrade for a reason. Now if you only want to do the ''main'' quest. You only have you to blame if you feel the game is too short. Because you ARE making it short.

This game is everything, but short. Actually for me it's a lot longer than Skyrim. Skyrim took me 70 hours to do most of what I wanted to do. This game is going to be longer than this.

Speed runners can finish DAO in 35 minutes...

That does require a bunch of glitch exploits.

60 hours into the game and finishing seems still far away. First playtrough gonna take 150 I guess. Doing allot of sides and kinda avoiding the main not to spoil it. Enjoying the game, environments are great, characters interesting.

Can't wait for the DLC on my second playtrough. The game will be so large, aaaaw yeah.

Finished origin in 35 first playtrough. More gameplay than the O so glory origin.

I'm curious as to how many hours companion dialogue alone clocks in, because some sessions with followers can be pretty long.

Most of the game is in the side quests, and I don't think the side quests are of particularly high quality story-wise. The game is does dungeon crawling and exploration a lot better than it does the story aspect of the side quests.

For one, the vast majority of side quests are simply take them or leave them quests, and the lack of dialogue options and choices as to the outcome reminds me quite a bit of Neverwinter Nights, which was very dungeon crawl heavy as Bioware games go.

The portions they put story in are done very well, but it doesn't seem to be as story-driven as I've come to expect Bioware games to be.

I enjoy the exploration and dungeons more than in Skyrim, there's always something to find in Inquisition, whereas in Skyrim there's a lot of downtime spent traveling in between finding things to do. Dungeon-wise, Skyrim dungeons were seemingly as drab and repetitive as the ones in DA2(at least the ones in DA2 were well lit and had interesting conversations with NPCs), while in DA:I they're all individually themed.
