Melee Abilities Knock Back Out of Melee Range

This is getting pretty annoying, to be honest.  All of my Sword/Shield abilities knock the enemy away.  Why?  I'm a melee character.

 

These should have been knockdown abilities, or just stuns.

Agreed wholeheartedly. If, at the very least, using your basic attack automatically moved your character towards the target like it did in previous games it wouldn't be so bad, but alas... that is not so.

Can't get more agree from me. I do think Warrior should have some knock back abilities, but they shouldn't be the norm. I say that only because sometimes, just sometimes, an enemy needs to get kicked off a bridge because 'lol gravity'. That aside though freakin' everything throws enemies away and it creates A LOT of bad battle lines. Enemies also seem to do nothing but knock you back as well, which again screws your battle lines up even more.

 

It's a strange feeling to be all 'oh thank god, demons... they only get knocked down'. I really shouldn't be happy to fight demons or wolves simply cause they wont fly away from me.

It annoys me as a Mage too since my fire mine takes 3 seconds to prime... sure just knock them off the 1600% weapon damage + extra 1600% damage over 10 seconds explosive... we didn't need that damage anyways!
