right now I can't craft anything better than loot. is there a way to increase my proficiency / get new recipes? I've done all the war table stuff

alszo, can i destroy items for raw materials somehow?

You can find new recipes in loot and at certain merchants. I know there is one in Val Royeux that sells a bunch. I think their is one in Redcliffe as well. Of course, the higher tier materials you use the better your items will be!

 

No, you cannot break down items in single player like you can in multiplayer. Just sell whatever isn't useful anymore.

You can, however, remove enhancements (legs/arms for armor, haft/pommel for swords for example). Don't forget that, I lost a pretty expensive set of upgrades once only to figure it out an hour later.

Best ones I could find were at the merchant in Hissing Wastes, go with about 10k to get the armor and upgrade schematics
