Beginning of Emprise du Lion in Sahrnia, there is an exclamation point in the blue building... There's a tiny object that says "examine". I can't interact with the object at all so can't pick up the quest.

This quest is buggy I had that same problem.  I ended up giving up and went to the next house over (yellow one) to talk to that lady and once I finished picking up that quest the other one updated in my journal.  Same issue on turn in,  I think the old lady was thanking me for finding her ring but there was no dialog and after about 30 secs I got the quest completed gong.

I had to struggle to click it, it's possible but takes some work.

I can't get it to work so I'm giving up. I finished all other quests in the area and still there is no option to interact with it, even though it shows up as an object that could be clicked on (clicking doesn't work). I can't talk to the old woman standing next to it, either.

Tell your guy to click it when in tactical mode. Work for me.

the "f" works? Going to try this when I visit Emprise du Lion on this current play through. I could NEVER select it.

 

There is also a book case in Villa Maurel that I can't interact with but says "examine" as well. I'll have to see if this works on that also.

I can't believe I didn't think to use "f". Hooray!! I just got to that part and thought, ugh, not again. My first playthrough I didn't have a problem with it.
