Been side tracked in Fereldan, and have forgotten about the main quest. Getting lost in all the side quests there. Found a couple so far that I couldn't complete due to lack of perks or items.

Do quests scale with your level or have levels of their own? I must say I've only been pawned once so far by a level 25 elven mage at level 5, but most other npcs have been between 5 to 8 and manageable. Currently at level 6.

No one knows? Or am I in the wrong thread?

Want to know if I should give the side quests a break and head on to the main story line.

I do believe that quests themselves have specific levels, as they tell you beforehand "recommended for levels X-Y".

^ Really, I don't recall any quests recommending what levels? Where does it tell you? All I remember seeing is the number influence/power required to enter the quest.

Anyway thank for the answer.

The main story quests tell you the level range when you click on them on the war table.

The main story have recommended levels since once you start them you are kind of locked into finishing them unless you reload.  But the areas (Hinterlands, Storm Coast etc) no they don't tell you what level they are.  This is probably because most of the area's actually have difference in level's within them.  Take the Hinterlands, you go there at really low level yet some of the area's can have enemies at like level 12.  Those big area's are designed for you to come back to often so different regions within an area can sometimes have different levels.  Good idea to scope out enemy levels before engaging.  (Didn't do that once and well  :pinched: they were level 20 I was level 14.  It didn't go well)
