I'm not really clear on this... hope someone can help

Scenario A: Your character goes full KE + Spirit
Scenario B: Your character goes full KE + something else, but another party member on your team goes full spirit.

Knight protector: Barriers you create will decay slower. 

Strength of spirit: Your barrier has 50% more strength.

So Im kinda confused... what spirit and KE spells needs to be on the same character to synergize and what spirit spells only need to be active on the team itself / overall to work?

I'm guessing here, but I'm almost certain Strength of Spirits applies to the barriers you cast. In general, it seems to me passives apply to barriers you cast/trigger through Guardian Spirit. Well aside from the fire passive that turns barrier into damage.

 

You also probably don't need to go full spirit either, at least not with 2 mages. Right side of the tree is nice, but Rejuvenating Barrier isn't super necessary.
