I was wondering if there is a way to get into those locked cells in the Haven chantry basement without having to play a rogue?

I've read on the gamefaqs forums that q companion can do it but I've never seen the option for that.

Any solutions would be appreciated

I don't believe it's possible without being a rogue. This happened in Origins as well -- there were certain times (origin story, Arl Eamon's estate in Denerim, and possibly a few others) where you didn't have access to your companions as party members and so couldn't use their skills. I don't understand why they would do such a thing, as it seems to punish the other two classes, who get no comparable situations to make up for it. On the upside, it forced me to roll rogue for at least one playthrough of each game, and I've had a lot of fun with it. But at the same time I don't think we should be forced to do it so we don't miss out.

But which conversation does that happen in, the only ones I have available is asking her opinion on the Inquisition, opinions on inner circle members and telling her she is not right for the inquisition. Does it happen after a certain point in the plot?

Can't say. Maybe it's connected to main plot or her approval, but im not sure.

Well I have done all quests etc I'm before closing main rift and destruction of Heaven. I have polish version of game and I don't have that dialog option too. I think its a bug... Any feedback about that?

if you're worried about missing codex entries, you can check willvan's shop in val royeaux after you leave haven. he's located at southeast corner of the map. you'll want the stall near the door. check under the 'other' section. apparently he...recovers items from places you've visited? i had a couple items there that have the description 'recovered from haven'. the monologue he gives says that he basically cleans out places after you leave. i think the mechanic behind this particular stall means it will have codex entries from places you can no longer visit...

So I've come to the inclusion it must be based on approval to have Sera offer up opening these cells as the option never appeared for me. Thanks about the book seller though I've not missed any entries as far as I know

Another way to do this would be taking the Deft Hands Inquisitor perk which will allow any of your Rogue companions (Sera, Varric, Cole) to unlock those doors before Haven is destroyed? They are masterwork locks yes? Which that particular perk gives rogues the abiltiy to open. Just a guess mind you because I didn't get this perk until after I got to Skyhold.

Won't work, you are solo whenever you are in Haven. You need to be a rogue.

Besides:

They are regular locks, my rogue opened them the first thing the prologue was over.

My Inquisitor is a warrior - so I just clicked on every door until a message appeared "Needs rogue to open". Then went talk to Sera and the option about picking locks appeared :D

Avissa73 is correct. If you're not a rogue, all you need to do is go down there and click on one of those doors. Then go talk to Sera and the option to have her unlock them will be there. At least it worked for me as well as Avissa73.

Does this work in the Orlesian Palace as well? (trying to avoid spoilers)
