When can you start doing upgrades to Skyhold? I have been all over the darned place, and I see lots of notes about people working on Skyhold, but no one talks about actually doing it. I have been in the Undercroft, and have seen the place where it says Skyhold customization. Is that where you do it and you just have to gather upgrade options from around the world? Or do you just have to bring in someone from the War board like you do with the specialization trainers?

I think you just use the Skyhold customization. It is part of your requisitions you should already be working on when out in the world.
The biggest things we need seem to be quarries and lodging stands.
On that note: can anyone tell me a good region to find those two? I have only found the lodging stand from Haven so far.

As far as I have found there isn't a lot we can do. That table in undercroft only changes kind of banners, throne, etc you see. Other than that we can change the garden, tower, and one other thing I am forgetting. I liked how the garden turned out but there is nothing to the tower and the other thing I can't remember isn't even important enough to remember. I was hoping for the chance to rebuild Skyhold like we did in NWN2 and Crossroad Keep. BW could have at least gave us a dwarf to tell us how poorly build the walls are.

I found two of the logging stands in the Hinterlands, no quarries yet though.

They are all over the place. In the war room you can use a perk point to get those to show on the map. Not sure which it is atm I am at work but I am sure someone here can fill in that blank.

Get the scounting perk under secrets, it'll reveal all Quarrys and Logging posts in areas of the map you haven't discovered. Beyond that, off the top of my head the easiest one to get to is a Quarry just outside the Western Approach, take the path down from the starter camp without deviating through the mines and you'll see a work station on the left on the hill with two stacks of grey bricks on it. There's one Quarry for you there.

There's also a quarry in the Storm Coast. It's at the southeast end of the map, near the cave.

There's a logging stand in haven, two in the hinterlands, one in Storm Coast, one in the western approaches for sure. I don't remember where the two quarries I've found so far were. In southern Orlais somewhere (western approaches, exalted plains forgotten temple, somewhere around there)

Thanks for the tips guys.
I will probably have to invest in the perk because I probably wandered around the spot in haven with the lodging stand for ten minutes before I saw the crafting tables. Hah.

A better question would be do these upgrades actually do anything? Do any of the requisitions do anything?

if you advance enough in the main storyline, there is another quarry in crestwood, near where you fight a Dragon. It's easy to spot, because there is a landmark right above it.

Do the walls get repaired and the scaffolding disappear when we start doing upgrades? My Skyhold still sort of looks like a dump.

They get repaired as you finish story missions.
Also does anyone know how to upgrade your throne ? I got something called a throne upgrade in a war table mission (don't remember which one), and there's an achievement that says "fully upgraded your throne", but I can't find where to upgrade it.

Well, if you're talking about the repairs, those happen as you complete story missions.

You probably fully upgraded the Chasined throne. I did too. It's the only throne I ever upgraded though. The Skyhold stuff is so spread out it's damn near impossible to find anything

Blackwall and Sera are not in my skyhold. Not sure what else to do. The markers for them are there. i have a mission to turn an item in for Blackwall, it shows him by the stables, but he is not there.

Thanks, I'll check out if the Chasind throne is upgraded.

Blackwall is usually inside the stables, but I think he occasionally goes to the second floor sometimes. And Sera is in an alcove on the second floor of the tavern, have you checked upstairs ?

Yes I have been upstairs and down in the stables. As for Sera I will double check the alcoves.
Ok Yes Sera is in an alcove. But Blackwall is not in the stables, upstairs or down by the hay or horses or in it. I have a mission to turn an item in for him as well and he is just not around.

He sometimes wanders upstairs in the barn or will be outside chopping wood. Sera has always been in her room when I have gone looking for her so if she isn't there I am not sure where she might be. I have had Bull disappear on me and be there after returning. If the NPC you are looking for is "gone" I suggest loading into another zone then back to Skyhold seems to work for me.
